This might be a really stupid question, but does anyone know if anything major can be done to an intake manfold to get some extra ponys? I have one just sitting in my garage and was just curious.

Yes. port it and put in a bigger t-body.

any idea how much that would run... I know it depends on the area dn place, but just a round estimate.

well you only hafta buy the throttle body. then you can port the IM yourself with a dremel to the same size as the TB.

it will prolly give minimal gains with a stock TB cuz that will still be the limiting factor of air flow

and yea i got my manifold. had mostly everything bolted up last week, til we got that stupid snow storm :mad: :frown:

lol. That's sweet! But only if you pay for it Rocka. BTW, have you seen the new teckademics assault? I thought it was ok, not they're best, but not the worst.

I've seen people knife out their T-Bodies as well, but don't know if actually yields and ponies.

Didn't know there were otherndvd collectors on PZ, I got all the Tech videos as well as alot of others...And actually spoke to them at HIN as they were mad chill.

I think I'll start a thread to display my collection of Import DVD's...

Not sure if he does... lol. Let me re-word that. I have TB, but I dont have a bigger TB to put on if I port the manifold....

Upgrading the TB probably won't give huge gains on the dyno sheet, but will definatly yield much improved throttle response.
