Ok about a month ago my car was acting like the tps was messed up and was hard to start and also when i would pull the key out it would still make the beeping sound like the key was still in it and the car wouldnt let me lock the doors I gave it a tune up and it went away so i thought. Today I wash the car like i always do and drove it back home and went to get out of the car and lock the doors and the same thing happened again it wouldn't let me lock the doors I'm thinking to myself wft. Well about 15mins ago i went to walmart and the tps was going crazy again for no reason (i have a vafc you can see? the % throttle). Can anyone tell me wtf is going on with my car. could it be a bad ground some were? This is really messing with my head. Oh and i did have my carpet pealed back on my passenger side the other day and it was moist and i think its from my 97 sun roof i put in, could that be part of it? any help from any of you would make my day go by better.

That could be a few things:
Do you have an aftermarket alarm installed?
When they go bad, your doors, ignition; whatever is wired go nuts or cease to work...
Please check around the ECU, where your VAFC is wired to.
You could have a short, or moisture leading to a short as you said you have wet carpets...
Perhaps your TPS is going.
TPS causes a lot of problems man, trust me on that...

I also forgot to mention, i also have that problem too.
Sometimes in my Accord i pull the key out and it still makes that beeping noise like i forgot to take out the key.
weird huh?
what do you mean it wouldn't let you lock the doors? no alarm right?!

Well if you leave you key in and have the door open and try and lock the doors ludes wont let them lock and with it making the dumb beeping sound it thinks the keys are still in and i have to use the outside door lock to lock it

Next time, try pulling the inner door handle outwards(with the driver side door open), then pressing the door lock button.
It'll work. y0.
