so i was wondering how to tighten up my ebrake... it is really loose right now and i can drive with it on and and not even notice it... is this a 5th gen thing because my friends does this also... if not how do you tighten it up any help will be appriciated..

Well. .mine is very tight ... and i never changed it.,.. so i odnt thing its a 5 gen thing. I think you tighten it from the E-brake handle itself.. But i could be wrong.. I never did it before.

Mine's loose. I gotta jerk it all the way to get it to have any effect at all.

no guys....in the 94-96's there is a panel inside the console. you tighten it by turning the 12 mil nut til its tight when pulled about 4 clicks up. on 92-93's you have to remove the console. not sure on whether or not you have to remove the console on the 5ths. but yea. there you go.

come on E. id expect you to know something as simple as that. im disappointed

Well I never took the time to see, lol. It's one of those things I just wanna complain about instead of actually do the troubleshooting myself, lol.

lol normally i complain about little stuff like that too but i cant drive my car around yet till its tagged so im trying to find stuff to fix and that is the only thing so far... ohh just fyi my intake from the accord will fit at least the curves and stuff are the same... thanks for the comments.

Remove your ebrake cover...

there will be a 12 or 10mm bolt you simply tighten or loosen the slack as you see the cable. . .

If this isn't the case, your rear spring that connects the rear "ebrake" to the brakes is off or broken.

Which panel exactly are you refering to? Like the ashtrays or something? BTW I have a 94.
