Well.. i woke up sunday morning and i was going to take a drive over to a friend's house that is about 80 miles from my house. Nothing really far. Since it was time to change my oil and all. I changed it before i left and then headed out. About 78 miles later my shifter felt alittle shakie in first gear but i though nothing of it and contiuned to my friends house. After i chilled by his house for a while. We took a ride. While riding around I started hearing a whinning noise that comes in and out.... At this point .. i am alittle worried about my car... So i start to head back to my house and i Actually Get back. When i wake up in the morning. The first think i do is check my car. My Transmission Is Toasted. So i drive it to my shop where i can remove the tranny. Right before i get to the shop I hear the "CLA CLONK" sound. Metal POUNDING metal. At this point. i though i was going to have to push my car one more block. But amazingly, the tranny gives everything it has left to get me to the shop. Once I got in the shop.... The tranny locks up. I cant move in gear at all in First or Second. Just like a Honda, Get you where you gotta go before dying on you.
Once on the rack, I let the tranny fluid out And it was this Awesome Color. Silver and Brown with a hint of glitter. My tranny was F'ed Up. Funny part was. It never showed any signs of going out. It just kinda happened all of a sudden.
Well.. i went to the shop to get a new tranny.. He sold me a H23a tranny for 300 dollers.. I said to my self.. Why so cheap when it only had 20,000 miles on it. He said Reverse didnt work. So i took it anyway.
When i got back I open the tranny that I just brought. It looked BRAND DAWM NEW INSIDE. I was like.. what the.. Whats wrong. And then it hit us. Reverse wasnt working cause the plate that stops the hook when you go in reverse was bent. So we bent it back and Walla .. New tranny. So we threw that bad boy in and the car runs great.
This all happen today by the way. Tranny Swap... 5 hours.
