Hey it's looking good Uncle, nice photos!
...are those Teggy LS SE wheels? nice!
Uncle Buck
03-13-2007, 12:20 AM
haha danny..... ya i had a tire fall off at 75mph and the car more or less fell on the mud flap and pushed the fender up... screwing it all to hell...everytime i opened the door it would rub... but now that i pulled the fender off and beat it outword... if you look close at some of the pics there is a gap between the fender and door.... thus no close up shots of car lol... its in the works to get new fenders and what not
and ya those are GSR teggy's... took them from my roomate since he has his winter tires on his Mugens
Danny_d19
03-13-2007, 12:35 AM
OK I understand now
I want your wheels
Uncle Buck
03-13-2007, 12:41 AM

Danny_d19
03-13-2007, 01:24 AM
What are ya waiting for? You can buy eibach springs/tokico shocks off ebay this very instant and be lowered within 2 weeks
Uncle Buck
03-13-2007, 09:40 AM
well to be bluntly honest ive been spending money on my crx lately....new motor, new tranny, 3 puck clutch, suspension, body work and soon paint.... since race season starts in less then a month out here iam kinda obligated to that car right now...i dont wanna hot rod the piss out of the lude since she needs a motor rebuild, she is burning oil and leaving her marks in the garage...
Brash22
03-14-2007, 04:57 AM
Nice. Now lower it. :)
Wheels are great. Really unique.
Uncle Buck
03-16-2007, 04:29 PM
ok well i was bored today and had a little bit of free time....so i took my coilovers that were on my crx and tried to see if they would work....and sure as hell they did....i only dropped the front, because i was to lazy and tired from work last night lol.... but here is a few pics of the front end lowered...enjoy

Uncle Buck
03-16-2007, 05:12 PM
haha thanks man....um honestly i didnt measure when i before i did it:worried: ... i should have so i could tell the difference...but right now the front bumper is 5.5" off the ground so when i enter my driveway just the mudflaps drag....but the rex is a 89 as well... but i was tired of the offroad look so thats why i used the slip over style for now...till i order ground controls next month
Danny_d19
03-16-2007, 05:19 PM

Take the flaps off. It'll give it a clear look. Drop the ass and you'll be jammin'!
Lower it and get some nice wheels so you can have that clean look.
Uncle Buck
03-17-2007, 08:35 PM
ya i need to lower it some in the rear for sure....but today i installed a muffler so its not obnxous, and cleaner....but i didnt hafta jack up the car to weld it up (a plus for me being a fat man lol) as far as the wheels go Rory, ill stick with my webbies for now, everyone around here wants them since they are hard to find i guess for this area (note iam stuck in the BFE, so ya lol)

Uncle Buck
03-18-2007, 05:57 PM
well i was gonna get some motivation to drop the rest of the car today...but after i woke up and for some crazy reason i have this mind splitting headache...after some research from my sober friends, i guess i was letting ppl slap me pretty darn hard in the face.... lol oh well i guess, i got time this week to tackle the backend of the lude....i managed to clean out my truck and i looked under the sparetire and there was a Brandnew set of NGK 11's....hmmm idk
but yes ill get her level once again and get ya some more pics, but for now enjoy a few interior, ICE.... since i kinda forgot those lol...

You're a bright one to let people slap you, lol.
I gotta give props to the Punch subs. I want some so bad but Id rather be fast than loud although Magnaflow without a cat or reso takes care of the loud part for me.
As for the NOS, I prefer the wet shot in the can. Haha.
Uncle Buck
03-18-2007, 08:28 PM
ya the day i bought my lude i went and bought all new gear, the road gear deck and the door speakers screaming was about annoying...seeing how i bought my car outta state...so the drive sucked for the most part lol.......but ya when i got in town i went to the local guys and told them what i want...small, loud, and easy to take out so i can autox....iam not goin for a drag car, just something with mild boost, looks clean and handles like no other..there for if i end up selling it (which wont be anytime soon) i wont loose my arse on the car:lick:

I like your shift boot...what is it?
Uncle Buck
03-20-2007, 10:37 AM
the shift boot is just a ebay special.....that and the knob is just a Type-r black chrome...i got them in the day i got my car, so my first mods...then two hours later it was the boom booms
Prelude85
03-20-2007, 12:41 PM
Love the NOS bottles. haha
That drop looks nice, and I'm digging those rims.
4WS FTW!
Uncle Buck
03-20-2007, 05:38 PM
ya those NOS bottles were only a temporary thing, someone just had to call me out in a street race and i had to show them how it was done....it was me against a Eg Hatch running a D15b....i had to see if i stood a chance...well i wont spill the details....
ok ok i lost damn it!!!
k back to my little red g-ride, well i priced out a F22 from a friend of mine and he is only gonna charge me $200 on a motor, from what ive been told this motor has alot more to offer then my little engine that couldnt... id like to buy it so i can atleast not leave my marks all over the garage, she is leaking oil purdy bad.... so i got onto PP.com and hit them up on the set of motor mounts....so come next september H22a with boost FTMFW!!! oh so ya fun stuff eh
Uncle Buck
04-12-2007, 05:44 PM
ok small update... i ended up purchasing a F22a1 from a good friend of mine for $200, it doesnt need a rebuild or anything crazy and it will hold 8psi with no issues....but iam not gonna install the motor untill it can hold twice that much psi....so yes new internals, new fuel rail, pump, rc injectors, regulator, ok so ya i have a list to get lol.... but after some debate why go with the H22 for the simple fact i can throw $2500 into a F22 and SMOKE a H series any day of the week.... considering id need $500 in custom motor mounts, 500 custom axles, custom oil pan, and something about bracket relocations for alternator and other jazz.... so a stock H22 with all the other stuff in stock formation is gonna run about.....230hp for $4200, if iam lucky Vrs. Boosted F22 id only end up paying $3500 with 320+hp with a LSD tranny...so ya i guess i might be stupid here but those are my thoughts.... any help finding F22 gear would be greatly appreciated and ive seen F22parts.com just a heads up.....

I know the f22a1 pretty well. It's a solid, strong motor.
Interesting build i must say.
Good luck Uncle!

Sometimes I wish I still had my F22 Accorn. It was all stock but still a comfy ride. Boosted SOHC F-series FTW!
Uncle Buck
04-15-2007, 06:03 PM
ya after searching on pp.com i noticed everyone swore by the H22...so i figured for half the price of the swap i could just do a F22 and boost the hell out of it... lol so ya thats where iam at and i guess i could keep ya in mind as to when this is done...you should enjoy it perhaps
Uncle Buck
08-07-2007, 09:24 PM

AH!
your 3g is so amazing! good luck on the f22 biuld, i wanna see how that turns out, soundns tyght.
what rims are those?
Uncle Buck
09-30-2007, 01:14 AM
thanks.... the rims are US Dynamics (some cheap off brand crap, but great for autox)
the F22 build is on the back burner for a long time.... after this season of autox, the stock motor is still doing pretty good, so worst case i might opt to running the B20a so there for i dont get jacked into a higher class.... as it is iam keeping up with some Sti's and beating porshe boxsters.... so its worth it to me so far:biggthumpup:

feeling the work you've put in...those GSR rims look tight...

09-30-2007, 04:53 PM
what mods are you sporting on your b20a?
im trying to fin done to biuld up in my garage, once my b20a5 starts going ill swap.
what is autox? kinda stupid qeustion but i never knew.
Uncle Buck
09-30-2007, 09:44 PM
those werent GSR rims... LS webbies as they call them.... those are long gone (roomate wanted them back so he could sell his teg)
iam not rocking at B20a YET.... thats this winter time... and the only mods i have are CAI and battery relocate.... other then that its still stock
autox (autocross)- we start out with a huge empty parking lot... use road cones and set up a man made road coarse.... they take your car and tech it like a real race car....they then have this huge book that takes your car and class it to mods, stock hp, yada yada yada.... and you get to race the coarse and try and get the fastest time of your class.....
Uncle Buck
10-07-2007, 04:42 PM

I think a b00sted F22 with some extra goodies might change their mind.
honestly i do get respect from the older generation of autox ppl.... cus iam driving on a car with 225XXX original miles on the motor (literally smokes between runs:biggrin: ) but in the past season i really turned some heads, one guy drives a porshe boxster (i know nothing special but still a nimble car), he has been in the SCCA for over 20 years.... i managed to beat his time by 5 seconds!! he walked up and shook my hand one day and told me it was some impressive driving....
so ya my thoughts are this.... this winter iam gonna do either a fresh B20a5 swap (a buddy of mine is looking at the H22 swap for his) and he will part with it and its putting down 147hp... OR i might just get the B20a and rock it either all motor still or might get a crazy hair up my butt and rock the 14b turbo setup.... now i know if i do the turbo upgrade ill be looking at a higher class, competing with a top notch Sti (which happens to be a buddy of mine).... so ya iam kinda stuck on a high wire here as to what i want to do for build.... and yes Si Speed, i hear ya... and F22 would still be quite unique, and i havent given up on that thought....its just all about the $$$ right now.... and as you can see iam kinda upgrading the looks at this point :P you wouldnt believe the heads i turn now in this beast of a realic....ohhh the ladies looooove it:biggrin:

well just thought id do a small update..... ive put my lude on the back burner as i might end up selling her.... but dont worry iam not leaving the lude site
ive decided i needed to actually make something go stupid fast so i ended up picking up a really cheap 90 civic ef9 hatch.... ill get some pixs up soon as i get some time:frown:

Uncle Buck
02-20-2008, 09:32 PM
well autox season is upon me and car is in need of serious TLC.... iam in a financial situation to where i can dump $2500 into my car.... here is my thoughts and also looking for some advice....
-Fresh B20a and trans from Tigerjapanese.com (new water pump and timing belt install....anything else i should worry about?)-$1000 shipped
-Port and Polish the head and gasket match intake mani (got a guy that does great work and is giving me a hellova deal to pass up)-$60 and a case of beer
-Clutch (still toss up as what to use.... suggestions needed)
-Suspension setup.... ive been doing alot of reading and iam kinda stuck on what setup for sure.... Tokico Struts for sure, but iam deciding on if i should go the GC Coilovers or H&R Springs (2.25" Front 2" Rear).... i drove theCaptainCole's setup on the GC and H&R Springs and the car was great!!... just dont know on how great DD it would feel on the highway-$400 (good price)
-Wheels and Tires....ordering these wheels here in the next few days or so: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...100&vid=006079
then wrapping them with Falken Azenis Rt-615's 205/50R15's:

GC coilovers are the way to go.
Sideswipe Si had them matched with Koni's and they are off the wall...kind of on the stiff side, but the best is that you can raise or lower as you please.
Remember, capntincole, his car was built for track racing...i remember the previous owner and how much he tracked his car, yes that white ALB...i've seen it in person too. Great car, sick motor. As for clutch, go most definetly with a lighten flywheel for better acceleration (autox). Azeni's are the best for autoxing. I have a set and so does twokexlv6coupe.
I really didn't like the f22 idea to begin with lol

hey iam not giving up on that F22 idea.... down the road:biggrin:
the suspension setup on Chris (CaptainCole) car rode great on the road cus we cruised it around here and there and never had to much of a issue.... so ya idk.... i still have a lil bit of time to find a good decent setup...
