THE ONE

so after months and months of hard work and research my prelude starts. at first I was going to get pissed because speedo and rpm gauges were not working. I glanced at vtec controller and saw that that was working fine. reading everything from rpms to throttle (which is why its still in the car. to read rpms). I decide to take it for a spin to see how it would drive. Normally when the speedo don't work you can't hit vtec. so I hit second gear and I'm riding along fine and dandy and decided to see if vtec would work. well
it did. also my gas and temp gauges work just fine. its just the speedo I need working. that will be a springbreak task cause all I have to do is tap into the sensor or the vafc wire to get my speedo to work. don't think that's a big task. at least I don't think it will but who knows.
I've learned a lot. and I feel good about my accomplishment. I've decided that this is something ill never do again. its too much time and headache. but then again... it was my first with not a lot of help. thanks to all my friends that were there when I needed help. all who gave me support even when they couldn't help me physically or technically. the entire prelude community (every single web site that is prelude oriented. yes I'm a member on over 90% of them). most of my technical support came from the forums. mechanics to thank directly are john, derrick, my brother Vied. indirect help came from mainstream performance through a friend. that's how I figured that there are 4 wires coming from the crank sensor.
My set backs. my euro r manifold is not installed. I still have not installed my fidanza short throw shifter adapter. I also have not fixed my window regulator lol. ill eventually get to it.
my goal for the next month or so will be to get the car running at its full potential. that means whatever parts not installed yet will be installed as soon as possible. will this motor be faster than the one blown up? no. will this one make me happier than the last one? yes because of how much time invested.
I will also be getting my suspension for my b day in a couple of weeks. so that way I can bring the rear down a little.
ill post pictures when I get a chance. this probably won't be until weds. or thurs when I have time to clean the car and make the engine bay half way decent.
if I've missed anyone out on my thanks I would like to thank all of you now. My mother asked me how long before this one goes cahboom and we both laughed lol. I need to do my emissions and my tag for 08'. other than that, I think I just need to give the lude some tlc and 'frankinstein' (my boy Rome calls my car. then his next line is usally, ''dude that shyt don't redline fi some reason to bloodclaat!) will be o.k.
