i have an h23 prelude and was wondering if i got a catback exhaust for an h22, would it be the same?

the main difference is the flange (i think) the exhaust mani ports are different sizes but if anything, you could always have it welded at an exhaust shop.

the vtec's have a bigger cat so if you bought a vtec catback and put it on an Si it sticks out further

yeah i ordered an exhaust for a "1992 Prelude Si ONLY" and they sent me the vtec anyway. it sticks out too much imo and i cannot have the cat converter on. the resonator pipe is too long. i had to make a peice about 7 or 8 inches long from the resonator to the down/flex pipe to replace my cat converter. now the car will not pass emissions like this, im gonna have to pay the guy off.

tsudo. i have spoken on the phone with these guys i ordered it from. they barely speak any english it was hard to understand them, but in the end and after some arguing they offered to take it back and send me the correct one, at their expense. but im still not sure if we're on the same page yet cuz they swear they sent me the correct one. i dont know but i told them to call when they receive it so they can compare it with the so called vtec one they have. it could just be that it was boxed wrong.

Yeah I ended up with the Nopi cat back. Sounds great but i ran into the same problem. It was 8 1/4 inches to long on the resonator pipe. Just cut and get rewelded. Its only like 20 bucks unless you know someone. My friend did mine for me.

really...how about custom pipes?? cheaper and probably easier, maybe a difference in performance but it works...if I bought an exhasut sytem I would have no idea what to buy, I ordered some Megan headers but I'm not sure what kind of exhaust to get?!?! not too pricey either....Apexi N1 sounds pretty sexcii but I wanted to get some other opinions....
Peace.
