I have just found out that my 'new' 89' Prelude S has Dual Side-Draft Carbs, it is not EFI like I thought it was.

I was not aware that cars after 85' even came with Carbs... my 83' Honda City Turbo has EFI so why not my 89' Prelude...

Anyway, what is the story with this Dual Side-Draft carburetor set-up and how does it compare to EFI?

The dual carbs are great, but not as great as fuel injection

If you can find the elusive weber carbs, it will open up at least 20+HP and make your engine sound like it's having an orgasm; there is no sound like dual carbs opening up at full throttle IMO.

as for comparing fuel injection with carbs we're talking about constant fuel being injected via a computer instead of gravity. :yo:

You could have your air box cut to let more air into the carbs. Just leave enough to cover the top side of the carbs. It makes the car feel less restrictive, not only that, but you get a cool sound. At least with the A18 engines.

He's got about 200hp with that carbed engine.
