Hello this is my first post here and well here is what I just purchased in New Zealand.

1989 Honda Prelude Si. Automatic. (See pictures below)

It is in almost imaculate condition in and out appart from the odd scatch the paint looks brand new. Very clean engine bay, the car was owned by an older man who recently passed on. He did a great job on the upkeep of the car and kept it serviced regularly and had it garaged for most of its life so it has retained most of its original condition. Not a drop of rust, good tyres and a clean interior and drives very nicely. It has done 169,000 Kilometers.

I paid $1500(NZ) which is about $1000(US) dollars at the current exhange rate.

So my question is, was this a good buy?

Hey thanks, that makes me feel a lot better. I was wondering if I paid too much but it seems not.

New Zealand is a nation built on Japanese imports so we have heaps of Preludes floating around here. If you wanted to see whats on offer our national auction website trademe.co.nz is a good place to start. It is pretty much NZ's version of eBay and where I purchased my car from.

Excellent purchase.
I know in NZ that, your prices and rates of cars is extremelly opposite of ours(US).

EDIT: I have just realized that the car is infact a Honda Prelude S. Not the Si like I thought it was.
