pretty much the only excuse i could come up with... i think it was mad i wasnt taking as many pictures with it as the white one so it took a ****...

a bolt that holds the crank pulley on came off... the crank moved around... stripped all the threads and bingo...

the bitch has to either be replaced... along with bearings and things... oor i buy a new motor...

i mean... the plan in the beginning before i bought the black car (being my 2nd lude as a daily driver) was that i have the motor sent off thats in my turbo car to be fully built... well... i think now illl just buy a new motor have it built then swap the motors... going to be a hell of a task but hey... it may just work lol... i mean... i might as well do it while its out... so pretty much things suck right now aaaaaand... i need suggestions

my black lude is my daily driver... i didnt want to spend any extra money on it... soooo my plan in the beginning was to build the motor on my turbo so now i might just build a motor and put it in the white lude then put the stock internal motor thats already in the white car in the black one... did that make sense? hahaha

Star numbers are irrelavent to the thread.
But to answer the question, it has to do with post counts. You'll get a crown when you get 1,500. The stars change along with the title under your name.

Isn't the black SH? I wouldn't swap an SH motor into the potential turbo car unless you're positive on gettin rid of ATTS.

nooooo.... the sh motor is the broke one... i was thinking about putting my base motor in the sh...

and my cars not potentially turboed.... it is turbo...

anyways...

Rory how much you want for that motor? and why are you selling it?

Rory

Swapping the motor is not the problem on the SH... its the tranny.

Ah ok, I got a bit confused with your first post. I didn't read that you were planning on buying a whole new motor and having it built :smashfreakB:
Wouldn't there be some complications to swapping a base motor into an SH? I know it probably wont retain the ATTS, which is something you should consider..

Rory
02-28-2007, 05:45 PM
Nope.. you can still keep the SH. ( I mean ATTS )

I'm almost positive SH tranny won't bolt to base motor.

Rory

dont know why know.. .I mean.. It really is the same block.

Some other things might not... But as for as the Block it self. Its the same.

I got a friend with a wrecked base model. Motor has 100K miles and the tranny has a new clutch. He might sell you the whole car for a parts car if you're interested. Not much of the body is good except the passenger door and tail light, the rest is tore up. The interior is pretty much all good but needs pressure washing because he flipped it into a ditch and it was raining and its really muddy but he had just gotten it detailed 3 days before, haha. I guess you could just swap in his engine and tranny and just sell the ATTS tranny and get some money back then part out any parts off his car you don't need then sell the shell for scrap metal. PM me if you wanna know more or get pics.

The oil filter is in a different spot on the block due to the ATTS. The ATTS will NOT fit on a base block. I looked in my shop manual and compared the two.

Rory
02-28-2007, 11:35 PM
But we not putting a atts in a base.. we are putting a base in a atts. .. Right.

deafy
02-28-2007, 11:37 PM
right... the atts tranny wont fit with base block... if she were to remove the atts for good, it should work, but other than that, it just simply wont fit. I can take a pic of the differences out of the shop manual if you like.

Rory
02-28-2007, 11:41 PM
I knew that oil filter was in a different spot. .. Now that i think aobut it.. I think you your right cause you cant get to the oil filter of a base with the Atts in the way. Wow... thats crazy. lol

i would shoot for the hope that you didn't scar the block up too bad when it happened so that motor is still able to be rebuilt.

haha this post just gave me 2 1/2 stars!!

Rory

I would just see if you can find a used block. It might be your most easy way.
