pink fluid

so i started my car today and a pink fluid came gushing out from the bck of my car. it is coming out from under the gas tank between two holes ones right by the factory hitch and the other spot isa hole about six inches back from the first hole towards the engine. anyone know what that is?


after closer inspection it is not pink it is clear odorless and it doesnt rainbow when water is added to it. so can it still be gas?

If it's toward the back of the car it's brake fluid or gas... my guess is that it's gas.

If not then it's some unrelated fluid that somebody put up there or came through your trunk.

it might be brake fluid when u hit ur brakes does the pedal feel normal

the brakes feel fine. it happened when i tried to back the car into the garage this morning from a cold start. when i turn the car on it idles at 2000 then starts to come down , usually i wait till the car is idleing normal usually about 10 minutes or so of idleing, this morning i wasnt going very far and so i just started and backed up into the garage. nothing special just normal stuff. i turned the car off and the liquid was still coming out but after about 15 seconds it stopped. i figured it was fuel returning to the tank but it has never done that before and when i went out this afternoon to move it i let it idle down a bit and then moved it and nothing happened.

is the inside of your trunk wet or anything? maybe it's just water coming out of one of the drain holes in the trunk

no water in the trunk either. everything is dry, but i got the nerve up to taste it and its water. i dont know where from or how it got to where it was but it was water. thanks for the help guys, sorry it wasnt anything cool

i would never do that. thats odd. the only thing ive tasted that is used in a car is coolant....which tastes pretty good imho

ya it was dumb i admit but i figured it was one of two things either water or gas and people syphon gas all the time so i figured a little wouldnt hurt and it turned out to be water.
