well first off make sure you have water in the radiator, if you have water and you're not leaking water anywhere and you're still overheating then i would go for the thermostat first

upper hose is return...coming from the block so it will be hot. lower hose is a feed hose(if u will). my coolant was boiling all because the pressure relief on the radiator cap was broken off...i started to overheat but stopped the car and let it cool down. check the radiator cap, fans could be bad...u never know. also check to make sure that ur mixture is 50/50....get back to us man

i had the radiator cap problem one time too, the water kept boiling out of the overflow but when i changed the radiator cap it was fine, where do you live? if it's cold there i dont think the fans not coming on would cause a problem due to the cold air passing through the radiator just from driving, is it over heating while driving too or just while sitting still?

how hard have you overheated it?? beacuse i hate to say it man but if its bad enough there is a possibility that you have blown a head gasket be carefull when it comes to over heating problems im a subaru mechanic and i have pulled hundredds of motors due to over heating!!! one way to check is to take the rad cap off and start the car if is guizzers (i mean really shoots up in the air)than that means that your head gsket is blown and yur exhaust is acually pushing coolant out of the rad!! or you can buy a tester kit but i think they are alittle spendy!! that little rick works on subarus im not posotive it will work on honda car!

Also.. Check Thermastat, Water pump and coolant level. make Sure fans turn on at normal Ops temperture. Check holes or leaks.
Worst come worst... Head gasket.

When my car started overheating it was because I had a leak in my radiator and lost my entire resevoir of coolant. Bought a $5 bottle of stop leak and it's a little better now. I still have to watch it.

The OEM radiator has a nasty habbit of leaking at the rails (weak spot) so.. unless you get it replaced with an aftermarket you won't completely fix it.
