i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to what my problem might be. well i was getting onto the highway and i was about to shift into 2nd and all of a sudden it just shut down. had to coast it off to the side, when i got to the side it sound like it want to turn over but it just couldnt, i'm thinking maybe fuel pump, bad ground, computer problem.... checked all fuses and they are all fine, about a year ago i had the ignition switch fixed come to find out it was a recall. if anyone could help me out with suggestions i had it towed to the shop tonight. thanks

my buddies 97 civic did something like what sounds like yours is doin, it just cranked and cranked and would never start come to find out it was the dam rotor button. just check all the simple stuff first before you go guessin and spendin alot of money.

dont know, but it seems like i had the same description, when my timing tensioner went out... check the timing belt to see if its loose?

you said it h22 timing belt went, chewed off like 8 teeth but, not one bent valve thank god. the **** thing is i just had the belt, wp, and all that stuff done about 3 years ago for preventive mantanence and the belt looks like it was worn on one side which might indicate that the tensioner lost pressure and loosened up the belt so i have honda fixing it, puting in honda parts not aftermarket stuff that was put into it thanks everyone for the help
