So 2-3 months ago i went with the car to check my brakes, changed the pads and do the normal suff for the brakes. The thing is that before changing the brakes i started having this problem. When i pressed the brake pedal sometimes it went almost all the way down without braking enough. So i assumed that i had air in my system. I flueshed the brake fluid, put new one and it kinda worked for a while. Now i have the same problem again. What can it be?

sounds like the master cylinder is dead or dying.

holes in the lines...brake fluid is corrosive enough to eat the clearcoat off of the car. imagine what it will do to rubber.
it could also be the master cylinder

dont just write off the holes in the lines....if ur replacing the master cylinder i strongly recommend replacing the lines as well. may i suggest braided ss....better brake reaction and stronger braking

:withstupid: might as well replace the lines with ss while you're at it.

I agree with everbody else. Its got to be the master. And the loose of pressure gets worse as the temps rise.

id say master as well...and sometimes a bad master can seem fine it just depends on how fast and hard you step on the brakes!!

yeah deff master cylinder. they do all kinds of wierd ****. when mine failed in my 92 accord. it would slowly engage the brakes to the point where i'd have to pull over, turn it off and pump the brakes then restart it and i could go another mile. and if i pushed the brakes it wouldn't release them. that was a long ride home, used the e-brake most of the way. thats a bitch w/ drums.
