I just want to ask this big ? about putting a turbo on a h22
What is the week point?
Is it the pistons or the cylinder walls?
Because if its just the pistons I'm just going to use mahle pistons because you don't have to sleave the block.

Either way, a boosted H22 would greatly appreciate sleeved walls.

If you were going to go with pistions why wouldnt you resleeve? that way neither are your week point.
Personally engine management is every turbo cars week point.

Why do something that when you don't need to do it? I mean I'm not trying to short cut too much but if i can get away with not resleeving the block im going to and yeah a tune is a lot of it but i knew that.im just asking what the weekest point of the h22 is, pistons or cylinders if its the two of them the clams mahle are making about just putting there coated pistons in and you'll be fine are wrong and I'll send my pistons back

IIRC the ringlands and cylinder walls are weak for boost on the H22. And if you read around and look at threads that discuss how to correctly build boost, they all recommend sleeves. Hands down they are proven to work and are safer.
