Hey everyone.

my cars originally a 1993 si (H23a1) prelude. I know the Vtec brakes are bigger. Since I have a opertunity right now to order some nice drill/slotted brakes and some brake pads. I'd like to do this along with some SS line since I'm going to be getting them upgraded I figured I might has well get the SS lines. Will there be a issues with ordering Vtec drill/slotted disks and Vtec pads with lines or do I have to upgrade? If so what's all involved with the upgrade.

Just curious b/c when I ordered my Shock/Spring set up I just got is for a Vtec application and never had a problem. Thanks

bumping

I'm thinking it shouldnt be a issue since the VTEC rear's are the same has the SI's and the front VTEC brakes are only a little bigger. Vtec fronts are 11.1 versus the SI's 10.4 So it should all be pretty much plug n play... anyone?

I think the front rotors for SiVtec is different from your Si.
The rears should be the same though.
The vtec model calipers should bolt right up.

...I would imagine, the brake master cylinder would be also different...but dont quote me on that.

:smirk:

Yea the rears are the same. The front is bigger by a little

Si 10.4
Vtec 11.1
(that's from 92lude.com)

So I would probably need vtec calipers and a master brake cylinder...
hmmm I need to research this some more b/c maybe I could just get the vtec rotors and use some good pads mad for the si and be ok. It's not like I'm going to be going crazy fast and then locking up the brakes all day. I want them to show nicely behind some rims. But then I also want it done right and not half assed. Maybe I should see if some of the guys on 92lude.com know.

thanks again bro. your always following me around :)

He does need the VTEC caliper and bracket, but they use the same MC. The S model has a slightly smaller MC, but that would still work with the VTEC brakes. Anyway, I'm doing exactly what you're doing. Russell SS lines, VTEC calipers, Hawk pads. Trying to decide if I want drilled or blank rotors

Are Hawk pads one of the best? I never researched it before. I was going to go with EBC pads and Russell SS Lines along with drilled slotted rotors...

but then i've heard good and bad about drilled - slotted and both.
sooo hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Sorry to revive this year old thread, but I want to make sure I get the right parts for my Si to Vtec brake swap.
So all I need is
-Vtec Brake Rotors
-Vtec Caliper Brackets
-Vtec Caliper
-Vtec Brake pads

Thank You and sorry to Revive this thread.

Don't apoligize for reviving this. At least you're one of the very few who not only use the SEARCH feature, but you also revive a thread with relevent questions/information.

Yes, I'm pretty sure all you need are the calipers, brackets, rotors, and pads.

And the rear brakes are the same between SI's and Vtecs
