I just bought a JDM b20a engine for my 89 prelude, and I was wondering if anyone would know were I can find performance headers? I was thinking dc headers, but they only make them for 92+ ludes..Unless anyone would know if it would still fit for my lude?
thnx

I wish they still made the DC header for our cars.
discontinued.
They were the best. Period.
This is decent, but pretty much as good as you'll get aftermarket wise.

No, i was about to buy a Hedman header, but I will changing to a new motor soon...so it isn't needed. :smirk:
Make sure you specify which motor/trim you have.
This is important.
The 2.0Si(b20a/b20a5) has two o2 sensors.
The Si(b21a1) has one o2 sensor.
Stay away from the Pace Setter header for our cars.
Poor quality and idiotic design for the flex pipe area.
If you can, get the Hedman~Chikara/Tork-Step header.
...or keep searching for the DC's or Neuspeeds.

the pacesetter header isnt bad. just make sure you clean the welds up in the runners

the Hedman Chikara is a decent header thats whats on the black lude, but i can't really say much for power gains or anything the stock elbow pipes are larger than the ones on the chikara but it does look a lot better than the manifold, but im with brian keep an eye out for the DC!!

not a bad idea. i got significant gains from the pacesetter header but of course i also had a custom 2.5" catback exhaust put on as well.

i've raced my brother before while he was in the black lude and me in my white one, the black lude has the chikara header into a thrush glasspack where the cat is supposed to be and the rest is whats left of his old pacesetter monza 2" cat back but with a different muffler on the end, and my white lude is still running the stock mani. and elbow pipes then a full 2.5" exhaust with no cat, and i still pulled on him in 1st and 2nd gear about a car length

i might not be correct on this but just check to see if a B16/18 header works...you just might hafta make the downpipe longer to clear the oil pan and thats about it...cus if it does work thats what i got planned for mine

yeah all 3 of them are the same cars theres the white one that i drive all the time, the black one that my brother is currently driving untill he gets done with collage an buys a new mustang, and then there's the red one that is sitting in the shop with the front crumpled. but all 3 of them are 91 Si 4WSs the only difference on them is the last few letters on the vin and the colors

interesting. that seems weird to me but very interesting. never thought that two different headers wihting the same price range would make a difference like that
