What's the largest tire I can put on the stock 16" '02 rims? I'm hoping like 215/225 x 45/50's... Have the stock 205/50 x 16's on it now. Want a bigger contact patch if possible.

My Bad, from the "FNG"..... I meant '00. I had just updated my Avatar and my Softail is an '02...LMAO!! I meant model year 2000 rims. Sorry for the confusion. Do you happen to know what the largest tire I can run on the stock "Gen 5" rims is? Appreciate the help.

Coupe,

When you say "gimmying", what do you mean? This '00 lude is totally stock, no suspension mods what so ever. I want to put the largest, (widest), tire on the stock '00 rim I can.

Discount Tire and the Tire Rack are telling me that all they can tell me is that the largest tire they can recommend is a 205 x "55" x 16 vs the stock original 205 x 50 x 16. I know there's some Fed. Law they have to comply with and can't make recommendations for larger tires on a given car/rim.

Just hoping someone can tell me what will really fit based on their own experience.

Thanks,
V1
