Hey guys, ok i got the intake to fit and it works with a few adjustments. Here is the next thing, I just got these HID's and I'm not sure where to place the ballast and the ignitors. Has anyone put in HID's, where is a good place to screw these items. thanks alot.

I have HID's on my 4th gen. and they aren't working at the moment. =(

I have no idea why, they stopped working out of no where, both lamps. My friend pointed out that one of my headlights were out this morning. So I switched the ballasts around (that's what I did last time one lamp went out and it worked) and now both lamps won't come on no matter what. My high beam still works though. I checked the low beam head lamp fuses under the hood and they're both good.

passenger side... right by the cai and battery. i have an optima red top, so got lots of room there. driver side... still looking for a good spot after almost two years. right now, it sits next to the alternator.

I have stock USDM headlights on my '94 Prelude. I got my HID's working again.

One night after work, I turned on my engine. I connected the ballasts back with HL switch off. After connecting the ballasts again, I turned the switch on and only one side turned on. So I turned the switch off, and switched the ballasts, turned my HL switch on, and they both turned on. It's wierd, I don't know why they do that. It rarely happens, it's only the second time it has happened now.

yeah that is true, like those domestic cars with daytime running lights it will go out on you, I experience this myself when i had a GrandAm, I mean that is just a waste if battery and lightbulb life....

I don't think the Preludes come with daylight running lights anyway.

canadian 4th gen preludes come with drl's.

drl's do not waste battery life... bulb life, sure... but not battery.

what hid's are you putting in anyway? you got projectors for them? or are you just putting hid bulbs into your stock housing?

here's (http://www.preludezone.com/showthread.php?p=24100) the thread that shows the projectors and what prelude1897 did. the pictures he took of them are kind of nasty, because they were work in progress. he replaced my e46 projectors with tsx projectors. you'll see pictures of the beam pattern for both in the thread.
