I'm getting DP6 MOTEGI racing wheels with G-force tires with either 215/35/18's or if 225/40/18's fit with my drop then I would be set!
As for right now? Them Khumo 711s are doing good but I spin tires like crazing if I launch.

18" on a 5th gen has been debated on every forum. Basically anyone concerned with performance should NOT run 18" wheels. 17" is hands down the best compromise between looks and performance, 16" is the best size for a car that you plan to track or autocross.

ya but 18"s look so nice..lol.... but its true it really depends on what u want to set up ur lude for.. because im going through the same thing right now.. its between 17s or 18s... but i think i would still be able to do cornering on the streets with 18"s on... but we will see

They don't make that wheel with a high enough offset. You need at least +45mm. +48 is ideal.

i have 18x7.5 rims, 215/40 tires, i rub when making quick turns & u-turns sometimes, but i think it's due to my "soft" riding Eibach prokits springs and stock shocks. i need to upgrade to koni yellows/h&r springs, i heard thats a good combo. anyone out there running that combo?

i have 18's just droped the car on Tein SS coilvers and shocks the rear is way too low i cant put my finger between the tire and the wheel well in the back but i just need to take off the tires and raise up the coilovers to fix that so the rubbing stops, front is low and does not rub very often, IMO get 17inch rims if your in the market i got mine for a deal so thats why i roll with the 18's
im keeping my stock rims for track days or whatever.

I'm almost certian that my AEM ems covers that. I didn't put it in so I'm not 100% sure. Either way I drive like grandma because I have too much loot tied up in my ride.

I have a 98 with 18 inch motegi rojas and 225x40x18 michelins. The rears rub at high speed bumps. 17s would be better.

get a 35 series tire like a 225/35/18 or even a 215/35/28 if your car isnt lowered i can alwas get spring spreaders and that 80% of the time corrects errors

I have 17inch volks with 45 profile tires now (stupid TE's bent at 40's so I went up) with a 1.3" drop and I dont have any rubbing problems. I wouldn't suggest getting 18"'s but reglardless make sure you get the right offset otherwise regardless it may rub.

I used to have my prelude... I had 17x7.5 but it was rubbin... it wasnt that bad but if u had more than one person in the car... it wil ljsut rub when u turn lol... and i had 30series low pros.. so 18's i would say no unless its... 18x7 .. and thats mayb. oh my car was never dropped.

moral of the story. wheels size doesn't matter as much as having a Good suspension setup. period.

im running 215/40/18 dunlop fm901 and i love them im really low too and im not rubbing. i had the yokohomas but too expensive and if u have camber wear then they'll start to make noises because the tire tread isnt symmetrical.

^ moral of the story, get a camber adjustment kit.

exactly... but for people who want to lower and have good camber... its tricky...
18's: lowered, good camber, you have to trim the inside of the wheel well
17's: lowered good camber, you shouldnt have to trim.

I used to have them 18by8 and i use to rub on hard turn, u turns and when tha car was loaded but if u get the right offset, tires and they are no bigger then 7.5in u shold be fine but only on stock suspension. I think anything about 17 its not good for the car and suspension
