i bought a turbo kit on ebay last week that comes w/ basically.... EVERYTHING!!!
but i'm wondering what little stuff you guys had to buy at the last minute that i should get?
stuff like gaskets, maybe a headgasket, any sort of lines, etc..
another question: i just wanna plug a new ECU in and go get it tuned, not hafta deal with the hole tuning myself, messing with the computer, etc etc.
can i just buy a chipped p06 with crome, and use that?? i've recently been told that i need an ostrich ECM emulator, yadda yadda yadda, do a backflip while hoping on one foot while picking my nose
and how the eff do i go about getting crome into the ECU in the first place!??

thats like, what... 90% of everything i need??
besides a different manifold cuz its for an H22, and an ECU
what else is there?

ypu have to get it chipped into a p06. talk to a guy on cb7tuner.com his name is mrx he chips p06's tell him what u want and ur setup and he can get u a basemapped p06 then u go get it tuned. dont forget the slut gauges everyone is raving about.

poor poor people so much to learn...
yes you need a wide band and yes you will need a chipped ecu and you will have to run something like chrome or uber, but itsn not that easy. you will need a chip burner and a map, and good luck there is maybe one map for the h23 out there and nobody is going to just hand it over. on top of the fact that you dont live where they live and that makes a difference in the map it will have to be retuned to where you live and for your setup ( where the wideband come in) its also a good thing to have a laptop so you can tune and see whats going on while driving the car around.
There is alot to a turboing a car, much more than just buying a kit and putting it on.
Oh and be careful with that ebay kit they day those turbos fall apart. i dont know for sure thats just what i have heard, so good luck.

HAHA how do you know of mrx? he is the king LOL good luck getting ahlold of him his a pretty busy guy, but he is the best, but his map depending on where you live will not run the car correctly, it will be way to rich ( i think) i cant remember but its a decent map to start from but your going to have to use chrome or uber what ever you go with to tune it. you need to get on pgmfi.org and start reading that will help you alot.

-what exactly does the wideband do in the first place? and isn't it only necessary if i'm tuning it myself?? "my" tuner said he could supply it when he tunes my car, and he is able to come to my house to street tune it, then from there we'll go to thee dynnooooo
-already got the chipped ECU, crome, ANDDD an H23 basemap
-and its not an ebay/ssac/xspower kit. its a kit that i got ON ebay, with an xspower turbo (that i got rebuilt w/ garrett internals from blaast performance,) tial 38mm wg, hks ssqv, dsm 450s, walbro 255, piping, IC, etc etc, so it's a LEGIT kit

i wide band 02 sensor monitors your air fuel ratios at all times, yes its a good idea to have this weather your tunning the car yourself or not, that way while your boosting you can watch your AFR's and tell weather you are too rich or too lean.
did you get a chip burner? you will need one.
I am not trying to be an ass im trying to make sure your car doesnt blow up.
and i am glad to here its not a ebay turbo.
so good luck with your turbo, personally i would never let someone else tune my car, nor would i tune anyone eleses car, BECAUSE when it blows up your gonna want to blame that person.

isnt that what an A/F gauge is for tho?
no chip burner, cuz the tuner said he would use his to burn the map onto my ecu

no a AF ratio guage is a short band and what can you really tell from those little blinkly lights??? the af ratio can show you rich lean and stoich (sp) but its designed to dance back and forth which never gives you a correct reading.a wide band air fuel ratio gives you the full ratio from 18 (lean)to 10 ( rich) ratios perfect air to fuel ratios on any car without boost is 14.7 air fuel ratios. when in boost it is the utmost importance that your air fuel ratios are 12.5 or richer. above 12.5 and you run into detontation and then boom! now you tell me that you can tell when 12.5 is with your blinky light?

nope, cuz i dont got a blinky light gauge
but thank you for your help
