It sounds perfect, the exhaust is not too loud or obnoxious but is definately noticeable. I Live in nyc and havent had any problems with cops at all its a nice low rumble at idle. Sounds great when you really get on it on the highways.

yeah took me a minute to clean it up in the first pic. i bought it off a guy who had a 4th gen S Prelude that was impounded in his lot. The car was sitting there for over a year and a half with out being moved or turned on. so i had alot of cleaning to do came out mint when i first put it on but between then and now gotten pretty dirty imma clean it up again this week once this rain stops.


Oh, and the best part I only paid $150.00 for it.

i think it's a tad bit ricey. just my 2cents. don't pay attn to it. I'm just not into that spit spit honda sound you hear from so many. That's why I think customizing your own exhaust or something like a Xmag catback or twinloop (Mugen) design sounds so much better...

It is and it isn't.
I have custom exhaust and i love it.
BUT, if i had another chance at an exhaust system, i would get a fully made one.
Why? because it's usually stainless steel. Durable piping, made to fit your car.
and is around the same price too depending on what type of muffler you pick.

My 2 cents.

i still think the apexi gt-spec is better bigger piping same size can but the tip isnt off set and yeah its crazy load when your on it but its funny to freak ppl out when you creep up behind them and rev the shhhh out of it

i have the evo II on my 2.3 vtec and its loud as ****. i let my girl drive the car the other day to here how it sounds from the outside, it drowned every possible sound the ear can hear and she wasnt even on the throttle. now it doesnt sound like ****, as a matter of fact its sounds good to me, not the ricey small displacement civic noise, it sounded more like a beefy tuned 1000cc motorcycle exhaust, and just as if not louder. i like it, but its loud, my girlfriend knows im coming home 1.5 minutes in advance!! oh and that is with a test pipe.

i have an evo2 exhaust and i love it. its relatively quiet so ppl dont really get pissed off at you all the time for bein noisy. but when you get on it. mmmm it makes me all hot and bothered.

EVO2 = SEX. Have it on my car and its awesome. Only problem I've ever had with it was a leaking resonator but that was after about 5 years and that only cost 50 bucks to fix

hey guys i'm Patrick and i'm new here. i'm 16 and i'm kinda a newb to this stuff. i have a 2000 prelude. but anyways, about the Evo 2, i was thinking either that, the Buddy Club Pro Spec, or the Apex'i N1. i'm saying this based totally off of sound. i dont know which one will give better horsepower gains or anything like that. but i was wondering which one is the better choice.

what are you looking for in sound? The overall HP gains is relatively dependent on the rest of your airflow system. EVO II is actually a great everyday driver IMO, it just sounds really good but it is not very loud. VERY deep tone, not raspy at all.

it is softer and quieter. it is not meant to be a loud exhaust. just a nice deep tone that really shows where it counts...performance :wink:
