Hey guys!
I just got my jdm motor in and saw that the header collector was cut  . What I want to know is, will a ebay header be ok until I decide to go boosted? I'm kinda short for cash. Any advice would help.
Thanks guys!:usa:

ok... you needing a header doesn't answer my question. Will the ebay header be ok until I go boosted in a few months?
Thanks again in advance.

Why don't you just get a stock header from a junkyard until then...or use the one that came off your USDM motor? I assume since you habe "BB6" in your name, you have a 5th gen so that H22 header outta work on a JDM one.

ok.. to finally answer his question... despite the fact that it's common sense..
yes.. ebay header will work. you wont really get much performance out of it... and there's a good chance it won't last too long. always remember; you get what you pay for.

I still have a dc ceramic coated 5th gen header for sale........ I know it's the dreaded dc but it's still better than ebay!

That's what I reccomended to begin with. It's a waste IMO to get a ebay header until you turbo because you won't get enough of a power increase to pay for it, especially for the shorttime you use it.

We have a mystery Header - Could be h22a or F22. Anyone have any idea how to determine? Pics?

yes, and i'd argue it's not a bad idea... don't want to drop too much cash into something that's temporary.

stock or aftermarket? i know on a stock h22 header, you'll see four distinct... aw crap i'm at a loss of words... i'll just say pipes for now... so four distinct pipes. f22 will look more like a blob with four openings.

Buy a race header for now. haha. kidding. Like SI said just use the oem one. Why buy Ebay junk. Especially when your planning on boosting. And more one thing. Not to be smart, but if you don't have money for a header how are you going to have money for boost?
Goodluck!
