I'm shopping for some rims... i was wondering if 19s would fit. considering that I like big rims and I never see preludes with 19s before. Hell if I could get 20s on this bad boy I would. Has anybody done that before?

i'd imagine you'll have to roll your fenders for 19s to fit. you realize that the bigger the rims, the cruddier your ride right?

TRIPPY!!!
Okay, if you add 19 inch rims, you are gonna have a tough time driving.
One, as Hotrod said, it will rub against your fenders and innerwall.
Two, you're gonna have to do some serious camber correction as i believe you're gonna have some serious negative camber to make fit.
Three, It will throw off your speedometer like crazy.
Lastly, you're going to have to run real thin tires. and if you live in a bad area with sh-tty roads, you'e gonna pay for it with either a bent rim, blown tire(s) and migraine headaches...19 inch tires are expensive as hell too!!
Think twice.
Think nice.

17" is as big as i would go on a prelude, they're less exspensive, tires are less exspensive, theres a wider variety, still room for lowering, and room to have some rubber on them.

I got 205/40s on my 17s too and now i wish i would have gotten the 215/40s, but i'll most likely be getting a set of gold Rota GT3 16s before long anyway so im not too worried about it

i dont know, you probally can
can you put 225/40s on a 17x7 rim they will fit. but there is a VERY LIMITED selection of that size tire. most companies dont make them. you're probably better off with 215/40. easier to find. and since they are easier, they will probably be cheaper.

that sucks i found some 225/40/17s for 150 a piece thats high . but they should last alot longer right.

it's not the size that determines how long they will last, most companies have a traction, temperature and treadwear rating on each of their tires, so look for that the tires that i have a AA traction and A temperature but they only have like a 240 treadwear, but then again they're Z rated and very soft..

I had 19x7.5s on my 4th gen and it was lowered and I didn't do any fender rolling so yeah you can fit them on there but they slow you way down.
