hey everyone. I have the front crossmember installed but i never installed the long skinny rods (see pic below) that go from the lower control arm into the crossmember. Basically for 2 reasons. One I forgot how it went back in (haha) and two I figured I was going to buy a traction bar anyway. I am thinking about driving the car from PA to where I am currently living now; TX. Will there be any problems with those parts not installed? A few friends seem to think not, but i want to know.
thanks

off topic. I am looking for a front drivers side lower control arm. Anyone have one for sale?

Those are your radius rods and I would recommened you install them, especially if you're going to drive that far. Those rods are responsible for keeping your caster angle in check and stabilizing your suspension. I don't know what will happen if you leave them off, car handling might be seriously affected. Look at your lower control arms at about the center of each one, there are 2 vertical bolt holes and that is where you connect the rods. I'd do it.

they APPEAR to be pretty simple to install, but i've never done it myself.

it looks like you just slide the rods through the holes in the front of the cross member, bolt it to the control arm, then tighten the nut and any bushings on the end/front of the rod

unless there's a major component that i'm missing since i've never done this myself
