Has anyone bought the intercooler sprayer kit by DEI, Inc.?
You can check it out at here...

What do you think? Has anyone had any experiance with this? Or a waste?
Give me your thoughts.

colder, more dense air = more power. in theory it should work great, but I haven't heard of anyone using the product.

In theory, this product does sound great.
Liquid C02, sprayed into the intercooler via a small nozzle.
...
You're not thinking about this are you?
How figgy'ed-fast do you want to go?!?! :yo:
This product seems something the drag kats would use.

yeah, i'm thinkin about it. i'd like to go as fast as i can....yeah...fast.
you'll prolly hear about me in CNN sometime....and if they catch me(and i live), i'll say i saw it done in a video game once.
kidding.
i'm not at the drag track as often as i'd like to be, but i just like to keep everything cool.
i'll race people from tacoma to the clubs in seattle (20-40min) and don't want things to get too hot.
so i checked DEI out. if ANYONE has bought this kit LET US KNOW!!! i think it might be worth the buy for all of us. (group buy)

yeah yeah, buddy of mine has this on his Del Slow... says he feels a big increase in power when hitting his turbo ban beyyy. Do it up, the **** looks sick as well, and besides i cant see how cooling down your potor could be bad or wrong in any way, i say go for it
drag strip or not, it would still look kick ass

yeah, i'm going to get it. but the way the finances look....it'll be a while.
so in the mean time. somebody else has to buy it. so you can let us all know how well it performs.
i can't hurt.

It looks great and yes it "should give you more power" but if ur boostin just go with boostin no nos.... just focus on one thing.. that will give you more power. if you wanna true power out of your car. In my opinion that is, Tuning all day everyday till it get better and better. Than havin boosted and spray. i rather focus on one thing so i'll get a true power. but tats just my opinion say.

crome pro for the rest of the season... which is only a month then come spring 07 ill hit up s300 hondata. nah i dont have 1200 to sleeve, i work parttime and school fulltime, in otherwards i dont have time.. key word to take my motor out ha. im fine with 300+ wheel at 10 lbs. when i tranfer colleges i plan to sell the prelude <maybe> for an rsx type S and boost that bad boy with JE internals and all them goodies
300+ wheel hp is morethan enough for any G35, STI's and Evo's. they all suck at a roll not to mention thats at the crank. my friend destroys them all in his civic with an ls teggy swap with a small ass t3 ***untuned*** that says a lot, they are rated at 300 hp but thats crank, not wheel

hopefully you didnt buy that co2 sprayer yet. from what i hear they are a waste. my friend has an sti that has the sprayer stock, but it doesnt shoot nos it shoots some kind of coolant and water mixture. The reason it doesnt shoot nos is to think about it this way if u take a hot glass and cool it really fast the class shatters. Not saying that this is whats going to happen to the intercooler, but if u cool the engine too much or too fast it might ruin the inside, expecially since the car is technically not meant for boost. Those work really well with cars that are stock boosted because they are designed to work with the changes in the temp all the time. But i am not sure that the ecu or the tuning programs that are used to tune our cars can handle that big of a change. if u dont use it all the time then u should be ok but it is like boost when u feel 5 you want 8 and so u push the car there and then BOOM! you could get the samething from your windshield washer fluid. fill the tank with water and then use the hoses from the squirters on the hood and squirt the intercooler with water, safer and it will lower the temps.

GHETTO, but probably effective. I did that on my friend's RX7 a while back. Well, we rerouted thw hoses to the injectors and filled the reservior with MMO (Marvelous Mystery Oil) and when people were riding his ass, he'd pull that back and smoke them out, leaving an oily film hard as **** to get off. Needless to say, we blew the engine up with too much of that but a little bit is good for cleaning the injectors ever so often.

Just to let yall know, Rotary can take alots of nos than any motor out there. actually Nos is like drinkin a gatorade to us lol thats how helpful it can b to rotaries but they need extra oil coolers. But again, one of the most powerful car on the earth is the Mazda 787b... which, it was banned. excuse to bann- not real motor. it was just too qucick for them lol

that mixture is Co2 and i have heard different, my friends boosted del slow has a bit of a different he has sais, i mean you cant go wrong spraying real cold air into your motor... it might even be happy and win a couple races for you

What's the cost? If it costs too much, then you could run your tunin' money dry and you could also kill your engine. hey JDM bb6, keep the lude dude. The RSX is leaving the am,erican market this year and won't return. Instead, we get a dang tsx coupe. The H22A cannnot only handle more, it was built a lot better than the k series. Plus, just have a custom getrag 6 speed made for the lude. It may cost somethin', but it will be chaeper than an rsx.

haha get a custom 6 speed build for a prelude, i have never in alll my days heard that one, id say that would cost me a good 4 to 6 grand.. thanks for the output man. i put it in the watad and so far a couple people have been biting on it and want to see the car. if i can sell a prelude <mine> for 12+ i would be RETARDED not to do it

First, what kind of turbo do you have? Second the story about the sti, the car is boosted stock and that is a crappy subaru. Honda's are different. Anyone pay attention to NHRA. AEM runs a civic with an H22a pushin 1200 Hp. !3 psi is nothing, get a real turbo, large HKS, and then you can push upwards of 32 psi, just need to do internals.
StreetCatalyst

turbonetics t3/04
32 psi?!?! just to get to school?!
daily driver yo! thanks for the suggestion though. even though all my internals are Crower and i'm sleeved w/Darton...i'll stick to 9-12psi.

11-08-2006, 10:55 PM
mystic u summed it up. INTERNALS! Sti is boosted stock correct therefore it can run high psi. run a high psi on a stock or non-built for it honda motor, not boosted stock, never designed for boost blow the enigne in a matter of weeks if not days or hours. NHRA is not driving on the highway. anything is possible even running 32 psi or 1200 on an h22 but aem's budget to do so is more then everyone on this websites income put together just to build a motor. crappy subaru that is funny.

You got it htswmr6. That is very true. Also StreetCatalyst, not a turbonetics T3/T4, that's a beginners turbo, I am talking an HKS GT40R, the big boyz!
