hey everyone. I used to have a set of REAL Cusco Front and Rear upper strut bars about 2 yrs ago before my lude was stolen and stripped. They really helped the handling of my ride. Well now I need some new upper strut bars. I wasn't ever a big fan of Megan Racing b/c I seen there stuff on ebay and they reminded me of a cheap manufacturer. Well within the last yr they seem to have grown and I'm just wondering if there Upper strut bars are any good. Has anyone first hand used them? I'm not a big fan of junk. I might not have top of the line on my Pre Pre but I don't want junk either; APC, RACTIVE etc hahaha RICERS :p
I was thinking about getting Cusco's again but I got lucky when I found them in prestine condition and the few I've seen lately look pretty beat up. I also was looking @ spoons. You can find some sites selling them for a little under $200 a piece. But then I'm not sure if there replicas and I'm not sure if your just paying for the name. So come on everybody. Let's get into this suspension talk

^^Exactly.

You're just paying for the name, "CUSCO."
Though, if im imaging it correctly, the Cusco bars had the center adjustment right? for the 3rd gen Cusco made a solid blue bar with the center lever...

If you are true on performance and want a stiffer upper shock brace, get a strut bar that also connects to the firewall...that is, if you can find a manufacturer that makes that for your spaceship.

There is nothing wrong with the Megan, Ractive or any other generic strut bar. They all act the same; amplify the two struts and absorb the "shock" they produce when you go over eneven roads....

The main reason why they are cheaper in price compared to a Cusco or Mugen etc. is the type of metal used...

...talk to Ogmaksdade, he'll hook you up with a genuine MUGEN bar...though, I'd rather spend $200.+ on something else...

i do like DC sports b.c of the same fact. I got one of there lower tie bars so it easilly visable. But they do flex. To many wholes. But thats when your autocrossing on them or pushing around 400hp on a teg. I say it like that b/c besides guys that twisted them on AutoX i know only one whos front bar twisted on his dd 400hp turbo beater... it must be nice to have mommy n daddy. a 400hp daily beater would be nice haha

well my car will never be over 300whp unless I get some No2. even then I can't forsee the bars twisting. I have front and rear upper strut and lower tie all in polished billet. they're drool worthy.
