My 4th "Jen" Prelude Restoration Project

Hi Everybody,

Harhar...here are just a few pics of what my 1993 Prelude SI VTEC looked like and the progress I'm making to "restore" it so to speak:

When I bought it:

Unforunately not much pictures, just think the Before picture but with SI wheels, dismantled dash and messed up center console...like guages in my lap whilest I drive sort of deal haha...body really dinged up everywhere...small rust on the rear quarter panel, accident damage from prior owner..sunroof faded from granada black pearl to albino zebra-ed white =/

Before:

-Cleaned up/replaced most of the interior pieces from another 4th gen =]
-Put in some new things...and another h22...due to a crankshaft cracking...=/

-Got 16" Black Rota Slips, WS2 cat back, Carsound 2.5" cat, (header soon =]), new Seibon oem cf hood and a Kaminari lip kit with the Accord Type R front lip.

Hoping all comes out well...and everything should be up and going by Wednesday of next week! But lots more to do.. :thumbup:

teaser for you? teaser for me!! thats all thats painted so far!...only the kaminari kit, bumpers, trunk, sideskirts etc are painted...
body is about prepped but still needs paint.

argh i cant bel i had to waste so much money on new weather stripping sigh...

We'll leave it here for now. When they get the complete car done and can do the rest of the required stuff, they can make a new thread. :)

On a side note, I love that blue. Flashy yet conservative. I can't wait to see the final product. :D

oh heres a close up of how the accord type r front lip (random one i got from ebay) is sitting..it should have been a lot farther in but then the sides wouldnt have bolted to the sides well it seems...

my only quarrels so far are that i asked for all emblems to be shaved and what do you see in that first pic on this page? the two front holes...ahh =/...so of course theyd be unwilling to repaint the whole thing just for that....and the fact that i brought in a new front bumper but they didnt take the dings out of it?? like the imprints left from the license plate holder!

i got my kit etc and then noticed he had EVERYTHING i had..of course with much much more...i like the kaminari sides and rear the best..looks cleanest to me.

i asked him about his color..its custom done based on the long beach blue pearl..but im not fond of that kind of lip for some reason though..i like the atr one more..of course id rather the mugen one (even a replica) if it could be found..

a few things im annoyed about still..i had to get the emblems, nostrils (this will be done shortly) painted black chrome since it was not shaved....there are small dents...front lip and cf hood was cracked by them (though not substantial substantial..i am not too happy as one can imagine..)..and that they tore off the windshield molding without telling me...and now i have to order that one exp thing separately somewhere..

but i guess im still happy since the car is on its way..so thats about it folks..thanks for stoppin by =]

Very nice!! On some of the pics i see some small white specs (on the 3rd pic) on some of the close ups i guess that's just dust. Can't wait to see the day pics! My lude is going to need a new paint job in another year or so!!

its like 100x better outside..i had the nostrils, emblems and license plate holder painted black chrome...i wanted the fog light pieces black as well but yea i need new ones first...

still lots more to do...now i have to clean up all the inside inside as well as the engine bay.....who wants to help out with a wire tuck/engine bay cleaning! haha...i need it desperately..

i bel i had gotten just some yellow h1 bulbs like almost 2 years ago and popped them in...everyone likes them but im a little iffy about it now..

and i do have d2 coilovers on..i just cant lower it anymore or i might as well be drivin into the asphalt =/....ws2 mid pipe is not forgivin...maybe i will adjust the hangers...or just get a new exhaust mm..

ok i think i need to get workin on postin in that members ride section as well as cleanin everything else in the car up..
