Mine has to be the AirSpencer Squash, smells amazing. Jesseunvoas told me about this one.
Check ebay, there a little pricey (for an airfreshener) but so worth it.

once you smell that squash air freshner you will never get anythign else but these also last longer then any other airfreshner ive bought mine 7 months ago and put it in my winter car and it still is strong makes me think why i ever bought those 4 replacement cartridges :confused:

EDIT: the csx3 is the most sold unit of these kind in japan right now so im suprised they have them over here still

i've been using air spenser squash since i picked up my lude back in 95, and still swear by it. although the other day, this gal at my office was wiping down a counter with clorox disinfecting wipe... the one with the orange scent. it smelled a lot like air spenser's squash. i'm going to pick one up and see how long a sheet lasts in the car. :D

I just grab an article of clothing from my girl and throw it in the backseat and it smells pretty. When it goes away, I return it and get something else from her. Lol. Prior to that, royal pine all the way bitches!

lolling. That pine thing bugs me! Yes the clean wipes are good just make sure there is nothing in the chemical that is too detergent or it will break down the leather finish.

My Squash AirSpencer came in today. This thing's the real deal! I've got one in my car, and the refill cartridge sitting unopened in my room and it's even changing the smell in my room.

I was showing it to a few people at my work today, and they could smell it walkiing up to my car (my windows were open). I converted two people today that will be buying them shortly.

Don't let that fool you into thinking that it's an overpowering smell. It's a good overpowering. Not abrasive, but very pleasant unlike most air fresheners.

Those cleaning wipe thingies are ok, but you should try dryer sheets. The Downey dryer sheets smell really good. Just toss one under the seat. They last a long time and you can get a box of 20 for about $3.00.

it doesn't smell like any squash i've seen before, so no idea why it's called squash. it smells sort of citrus like, somewhat sweet... hard to describe. go grab a thing of orange scented clorox disinfecting wipe. it smells a lot like that.

the first time you buy this thing, you'll buy a plastic container with the cartridge, after that it's just the refill cartridges. you can mount the container anywhere. i have the smaller ones that clip on to the vents.

they come with double sided tape so you can stick it on your dash. but yeah, you can put it under the seat.

the cartridges last about 6 months. trust me... even though you can't smell jack after two weeks, it's still good.

I just stick one of those adjustable cone air fresheners in my back cup holder. They're cheap, smell much nicer, don't chase you out of the car, and are a perfect fit in a 5th gen backeast cup holder. I'm thinking about planting a cactus in the square hole behind it. :biggrin:

suprisingly enough the company who makes the little maple leafs and the trees, the original ones have now come out with scents such as eternity, tommy, and other "popular" colognes, for the same price.

I normally buy those, fold them and stick em in my foot vents on each side so i can control if it smells or not by circulating/not circulating/directing air.

But in my 4runner i took some potpourri from my moms house(pinecones and what not) and that worked well

I just buy the ones that clip on your airvents for cheap at the auto parts store and they work great!!! even when I burned my clutch up one of my girly friends said my car still smelled good :eek: If they can cover that up they can cover anything up haha.

oh yea and the dryer sheets are good to use because they ward off bugs. Purpose: I used to have a bronco and would leave my windows down or top off at night and all sorts of bugs would get in there.

I was pulling 60 down a highway one day and a huge shaker spider dropped down on my legs from under my steering collum(sp?). Then a friend recommended the dryer sheets and told me how they keep pests out too. and for anyone who doesnt live in the south east, here is a shaker spider:
