short shifter

im looking into getting a short shifter but dont know what to go with. i've heard of dc sport short shifter adapter and also a forbidden short shifter. whats the difference? what would be the better way to go?

yea i know he wrote about the forbidden short shifter. i just bought a dc sport short shifter adapter i want to know is there a difference between them? did i just buy some thing that wasnt really worth buying?

I read somewhere that dc shifter adapter isnt good at all. If you got a receipt or bought it from somewhere close I would go return that shiit.

Anything that Si Speed writes good about, usually is good.

Don't know if you've read about them already, but the short shifter adapter changes the location of the shifter cable to be a little higher... Therefore the throw of your shift is about an inch shorter... but the knob height stays the same. It requires more effort to shift (nothing worth complaing about). I have a similar one and it works just fine... but it has nowhere near the adjustability of a forbidden

As far as I know they're not yet available for the fifth gen. A fourth gen one can be modified to fit though.

I have the DC adapter and am quite happy with it.. just my 2 cents

i also have the dc adapter and am quite happy with it. the thing i find with short shifters that replace the whole unit, is that they can take out too much of the shift and make it less fun to drive, just my .02.
