View Full Version : i think i need a new clutch. vibrating noise????

when i start my car up and as i leave the parking lot (taking off) i feel and hear a vibrating sound internaly, not in the clutch pedel but inside. and i think i need a new clutch. any thoughts? anyways i was thinking of a exedy stage 1 ($260) with a fedenza 8lb aluminum flywheel ($160). what do u guys think? i want something thats a step up, but im not running a turbo or a supercharger and i dont want to over do it (get something that i dont need). if you can give me your input (without telling me to use the search bar) i would really appreciate it. also if you have a step by step guide (i know i saw one here somewhere, though i cant find it again) to do it urself that would be awesome.

The vibration you feel is your ABS doing a self test.

Yeah dont sweat it its just the ABS. You dont need to do anything, just enjoy your Prelude!

Mine does the very same thing, if you are wanting to get a clutch flywheel package I suggest this one

It is your ABS self testing the braking circuits. To test your clutch, release the clutch in 2nd gear with your foot on the brake. If the the car stalls immediately your clutch is okay. If it is worn to the point where it needs to be replaced it will slip and run under load for a second before stalling, more if the clutch really fargone.

which one is that???? i mean whats the package include? all i see is the fedenza 8lb flywheel?
