I'm looking at the Teins basic or flex. leaning towards the flex.

Shoes are looking like either from first to last choice :
Kazera KZ-A Dual PCD black with chrome lip)
ASA AR1 (black with chrome lip)
MOTEGI RACING DV5 (gun metal with chrome lip)

All rims are 17 X 7.5" Now I need tire sizes... I know they recoment 205/40/17s but I want more beef on my wheel wells. I was thinking maybe stretching it to 215/40 or 35/17s. Can somebody get me that link that tells the diameter of the wheels and tires so I can figure out where I want to go? Especially since I want the car with no wheel caps inbetween tires and fenders. I don't want anything rubbing... I drive hard lol.

I have some cheap azz *number one* front and rear upper strut towers that work fine for me IMO. I'm also in the market for a lower rear tie bar.

Tell me what you guys think? Right now my car is sitting one Max Speed lowering springs and I really cant complain; except for the back wheels aren't tucked in. The rear gets a little loose in hard corners and I want to fix that. Thats why I'm thinking the tein flex or SS will do the trick for me.

Are you going to get an extra 2 rims and put slicks for the track or close races or just swap back on the SH's?

track days or close races will be on street slicks on the SH wheels ;). Maybe even the DC2 type r wheels if I can get my hands on them since thows are 15s

i had 215/40/17's on my 17's, lowered 2.25"/2" with no rubbing what-so-ever
and i would HIGHLY suggest not going any lower profile, for these main reasons:

and if you could get pics of the rims, we can help you decide :p

I like the way my 15's ride and handle... If I don't get Se's Il find some other 15's.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GET THE MONTEGI DV5'S
those are the rims i have picked out for my car :banana:

but seriously im not a big fan of the asa's, just my personal taste
but i think the kazera's could look pretty fricken hot

i'm not going to comment on the rim itself... don't have first hand experience with motegi.

i used to run 205/40/17, but the ride was real bad. hit everything like i just fell off the curb. i'm at 215/45/17, and it's better, but not by much. the tein flex setup helped soften it out a bit more for me. for a street setup, i'm pretty happy now. for track, you crank them up to 16 (or was it 1... i forget which way is which) and you're talking teeth shattering ride. i haven't been to the track in a long time, so the teins haven't seen track action. but i'm noticing that with freeway off ramps and such, i'm taking them faster, and the car still handles quite well.

I have 18's and the car handles like a dream. big wheels are only a problem with a improper suspension setup. (and a driver that can't avoid potholes lol)
