Well, back in March me and the good lady took a trip up North.

So we jumped on one of QANTAS's finest big steel birds and headed out from our home in Adelaide up to Sydney then to Cairns. From there, we drove up to Port Douglas, which is about an hour further North.

First day there, we went for a cruise and snorkel along the Great Barrier Reef

This was our ride for the day

Went for a little cruise in a glass bottomed boat, this is as good as the pics get. Just lots of turtles

http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc337/Brash_new/Port%20Douglas/IMG_6404.jpg
From that boat we went snorkelling, but I didn't take the camera down there. Snorkelling was fantastic, those who have seen Finding Nemo will know exactly what it looks like, since that's what it's like.

Extreemly Beautiful man, Wish i could go, Reminds me of Newfoundland, nothing but nature

Sea turtle FTW!!!!!!sea turtle are endangered and you saw alot of them so nice. Is it spawing seaon for them or do they just like to hang out in the shallow reef areas?

I think it was spawning season, this was back in March. And the big sea turtles are known for returning to the same beach they were born at to lay their eggs. Even though they probably haven't been to that beach for 50 odd years.

That's what it's like in the middle. Everywhere else is like this.

We were meant to go white water rafting on that, well a little further upstream than that. But because of the huge amount of rain they'd had the company that was running it ruled it too dangerous, so refunded our deposit.
