Ok so as some of you have heard I broke a rod a few weeks back goin 10 mph in to pouring rain. Sucked water into the engine and snapped a rod when the piston tried to compress the water. Anyhow... SO I ordered all the gaskets, rings, and bearings off ebay. The first head set I got had the wrong headgasket in it. Apparently there is a slight differance between the usdm h22a1 and the JDM h22a gaskets. So I tried to get ahold of them and they never contacted me. So i ordered a differant set from another company. They had the wrong email setup for their buy it now account. So for a week I thought the part was on the way and it wasnt. Talked to them and got it all squared away and got the part yesterday. So today I have been working on putting it all back together.

Im just about done just have to torque the cam caps, put the valve cover on, bolt on the header and intake mani, install the disty, all antifreeze lines, fill it with fluids and hope to God that the thing starts and runs good.

This car is for sale if anyones interested...

Thanks for lookin

Jeff

not to hard... however I did run into a slight problem. I was hopping that I would be able to slip the timming belt back on... not so lucky and of course no one has a honda crank tool instock on a sunday for a decent price. So I didnt get to finish it today... hopefully tomorrow I can get it done...

That's good. I got my 96 si for $500 with 270k on it. It runs really good but it smokes a little on start up. So im thinking one of the cylinders needs some rings. I think im going to just put another H23 in it because its already had 1 rebuild. Also an h22 is just too complicated and consumes alot of money. H23 is in and out and done.
