I have a '83 Honda Prelude and the driver's seats cover has come unsewn and the foam is falling out. Its probably a common problem as its right near the left shoulder. I'd like to replace this seat. Can anyone tell me if another model seat will fit this '83 Prelude? I simply don't know where to start. I'm not sure if other years models of this same make will fit or whether or not other Honda models/years will fit. Any help would be greatly appricated.
Thanks,

You need to stay within your generation of Prelude..... We learned the hard way, my son wanted to put some 89 SI seats in his 87 DX.... long story short. we did it! but it required a complete seat pan change out, re-shaping the bottom foam of the 89 to fit the 87 seat, re-locate the springs, to fit the foam, the 89 did not have springs... find new mounts for the rodss and springs. we were able make the seatbacks bolt up! that was the easy part. all in all it worked quite well , but it was several hours in a shop with lots of tools! so find your generation, and they will bolt right in!
