90 OEM foglamps... How do you...

I have a burned out fog light. So i went and bought a bulb from the dealership. I decided to tackle this repair by myself, It shouldnt be that hard anyway... So i removed the blinker assy. and loosened the screws for the fog light. I still cant get it out of the bumper? Am I doing something wrong? I sware I'm not an idiot, lol. Its just a light bulb.:confused:

I know what you're talking about.
They are a pain to remove.

You remove the turn signal indicator screw, which is 1.
Remove indicator(s).
The fogs have two(2) screws I believe.
Remove them

~NOW you YANK on the fogs, hard outwards toward the right or left depending on which fog...
example:
Right FOG LIGHT
You yank outwards to the right.




It takes time, but just yank them out, with force. I had the same problem myself...:sick:

When you have removed the fog light(s), make sure the ground wire to the bulb is secure; they tend to fall off after 15+ years.

yes the foglights are a pain you have to use a lot of force to get them out, but be careful when you're pulling them out because i broke off one of the tabs on mine while i was forcing it out of there but one still holds it in there fine!

There are actually 4 screws holding the foglights in, 2 on each side of the foglights itself.

Its just easier to remove the bumper. why do I say this? cause I bought 90' foglights for my fogless-light lude, and installed em myself. I dont know what you guys are talking about replacing a light through that little hole, the foglight is capped, and ontop of that held down with two brackets, two screws each. Unplug all 6 lights, (blinkers, fogs, side markers) unscrew the four bolds on top and the 3-5 bolts under the car...slide out the bumper, unscrew the big metal black thing, pop off the fogs, relpace the bulb, and continue in reverse

Has anyone sprayed the fogs yellow? I did it in my white Lude but I have not seen anyone else do it. I did it with see through glass paint and it looked sick. I am not sure if I want to do it to my Lude now because it is flat black.

I find it easier to just remove the bumper....
