The Charity Event
After voting, it has been decided that the two charities this raffle will go to is St. Jude's Childrens Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. These two charities work exclusively with kids, which everyone should have some kind of concern for. So, I'm excited about being able to help these two out.
Now, the way this is going to work goes like this. You can either paypal me or send a money order. Tickets are $2 each. Obviously, the more tickets you buy, the better chance you have to win. I won't be mailing you ticket numbers, but rather writing your name on a slip of paper, once for each ticket you buy, and throw them all in a hat and draw from it. In order to ensure faith that there is no favoritism or cheating, if I can find my webcam, I'll record it on there. If not, I'll just use a digital camera and upload it from there. You will see me put all the names in a bowl, hat, or whatever I have, and I'll draw a name and announce it.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU: When you paypal or mail me, I need your screen name in a message along with the payment. If I don't get your screen name, you will not be entered in the drawing at all.
Whatever is raised, I will split 50/50 and send it to the two charities listed, along with a letter explaining who we are, why we are sending them money, and sign it in the name of the PZ community. I'll also post the final amount that is raised, since you guys deserve to know. Our goal is to get at least $100 to each charity.
What You're Buying A Chance To Win
A BPi Flowstack of course.
http://bpinitiatives.com/images/asm30601_2.jpg
You may be wondering what it is. The BPI Flow Stack is a velocity stack designed to optimize volumetric flow rates into your induction system by preventing boundary layer separation at the inlet of your induction system. Both OEM and traditional aftermarket induction systems utilize a filter or filtration system that creates unfavorable geometry that initiates turbulent vortices and eddies at the inlet of your induction system, reducing the effective inlet ID. This turbulent fluid at the inlet is acting like a choke plate on your engine. The BPI Flow Stack takes advantage of the large flanged filter to create a induction system inlet geometry that will eliminate this "choke plate", by preventing the boundary layer separation and resulting turbulence. Each of our Flow Stacks is optimized using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Software to run flow simulations and ultimately provide you with a performance product that delivers results.
In simple terms, it make the air flow into your intake more smoothly, with a similar effect like ITB's have. For dyno sheets, CLICK HERE. (http://bpinitiatives.com/testing.php#Graph_1)
The winner will receive the whole deal, not just the flowstack. No filters, couplers, or clamps will need to be bought separately because they come with it. All you have to do is hook it up to your 3" or 3.5" V2 SRI or CAI and go. I had one on my car for a while, and I personally felt a smoother acceleration, especially in the low-mid range, with no tuning whatsoever just with this product. Remember though, ultimately, this is going to be for the kids. This raffle is just encouragement for you to participate, so give liberally. :fest06:
A HUGE thanks goes out to Bryan Pendleton from BP Initiatives (http://bpinitiatives.com/) for making this happen. I emailed somewhere between ten and fifteen potential sponsors with our intention and he was the ONLY one to even respond. In return for him donating a whole flowstack kit, we're going to give them a year of sponsorship on the site, which I think is very reasonable, and hopefully he will participate again in this next year. Again, without his assistance, this wouldn't be happening. I am personally very grateful for his contribution.
FINALLY
Recap of important things:
-Tickets are $2
-My paypal is si_speed_bb4@hotmail.com, and remember INCLUDE YOUR SCREEN NAME
-PM me for my address if you want to mail a MO or check, NO CASH.
-This will end November 30th. I'll do the drawing a day or so after it ends.
-I will also allow people to give after the drawing, just to help even more
-The money will be sent out on December 15

http://www.wish.org/
http://bpinitiatives.com/
Again, thanks to Bryan for helping us out with this. If you don't win, I highly encourage you to go buy a kit from him anyway. If you have any questions about this event, please post up. I know everyone here can afford to buy at least one ticket though. If you can afford internet, a Prelude, and premium fuel for the Prelude, you can afford a $2 ticket to help some kids. If you don't want the flowstack or can't use it, and just want to donate, tell me and I'll leave your name out of the drawing.
