So some kid screwed up my hood way bad right after i finished pretty much a month straight of rust and rock chip repair and just getting my car ready for paint. So i can't get it painted until i find a new hood. Right now i just have a crappy black rattle can job. But I can't decide what color to paint once i finally get a new hood and can get a real paint job. I like the black but i've noticed it gets dirty like an hour after i wash it. I have black rims and all my lights except my headlights are tinted way dark so what color do you guys think i should get?

so wait....you want to paint your hood a different color than your car? And your car is black?
ORRRR you are wanting to repaint your entire car?

It's all black now. And i'm probably going to wait and paint the whole thing unless i get a good idea for a different colored hood.

Oh and if anyone knows where to get a cheap hood that would be awesome. I've already tried all the junkyards around here and no one ever has anything

If your entire car is black, I can't see painting the hood a different color as a good thing - it would look tacky IMO... I would personally never PAINT my hood a different color, it would just look like a mis matched hood from a different car, lol.
I would say just wait until you got the money for a full outside paint job, and re paint the car whatever color it is - just keep in mind that if you want to paint your car a different color completely you have to paint the door jambs and engine bay and ALL of that stuff - which adds on quite a good chunk of change.
I could be wrong - Steph help me out a lil here - but I do know that a different color paint job then the original one of the car will run you quite alot more, I wanna say like $2k more because of all the extra painting such as door jambs and under hood, but Steph will know a better estimate.

Yes a different color might run you more with jambs and other necessary parts, or the color is a tri-coat color.
Still have to go through the same sanding process if you were to stay with the same color.

Which is what I said...
Fixed to make the sentence a bit more clear to people.
