Ok so I plan on replacing all of the current incandecent bulbs to white LEDs. I am ordering from http://autolumination.com/74.htm to get my gauge cluster LED's. Now I need them for the cruise, moonroof, dimmer, and a/c controls.

What I need help with: Finding the correct type of LED and twist base that I need to replace these.

There are 6 total more that I need. But I do not know what size I need or what bases I need.

Here are pictures of the current bulbs and bases.

Dimmer:

Moonroof:

Cruise: (only need to replace the white one)

AC controls (there are 3 that are the same):

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Already got you covered for the buttons:

For the Climate control, don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure it's the Type-B's fro mthe same web page.

I'll have a write up coming very soon.

Thanks Ocean... you have been really helpful in this whole process. I just measured the climate control bulbs and you are correct, they are Type B from the site.

OOPS! nevermind. Didn't read enough. I'm a moron. Thank you and good morning.

I'm definitely down for doing this. I would prefer a writeup from someone who's done it before, cuz Im not sure how I feel about taking my dash apart...:frown: Who knows, maybe I'll try it.

haha, it happens....

Oceanborn's writeups on the dash buttons and custer were great. If I get mine in the mail before he gets around to making one for the climate control, ill make one. I love making DIY's.

Dash Buttons (i need to quit calling them that whats their real name?) - http://preludezone.com/showthread.php?t=9340
Cluster - http://www.preludezone.com/showthread.php?t=6781

EDIT: importsnrice has made one for the climate control... he even went through the trouble of changing ALL of the led's. I think ill keep the stock led's and only change the twist loc bulbs

i'm just curious whats the point of doing this mod? or is it just so it basically will never burn out?

I'd say the main reason is to change the color of the gauges. Colored incandescents tend to be WAYYYY to dim to use.

ooh ok..
well i dunno bout you guys, but i tend to have mine turned WAY down on the brightness. less distracting i think.

SuperbrightLEDs is a good site, if you know exactly what you're looking for, and are familiar with the site. Otherwise, it's confusing as ship.
