I messages SLR and this is the response they gave me......
Hello. We have dyno tested every chip for every vehicle that we sell. But,
due to the number of factors that can alter the hp ratings we only conduct
these tests to make sure the chip has been tuned properly. We do not send
the dyno results out because of the differences. We guarantee you will see
and feel gains of 50+ HP and 50+ Torque and 3-6+ MPG or your money back.
Every vehicle and results vary. We want to earn your business at SLR
motorsports. Thats why we offer a 60 day 100% Money back guarantee at SLR
motorsports. If you have any more questions please let us know.
.......
doesn't sound like a real straight answer

do you have a link to this magic chip? (edit: not being mean, but this can't be true :( :( )
50+ HP/ftlb is crazy... a pro tuner got about 20hp and 10ftlb out of my bolt-on setup... that doesn't really tell you how much better the car feels though as the powerband is wider and smoother and she pulls much better from low rpms.. it was a great decision.

I'm sorry to say this, but if SLR made a claim like that, they are full of sh!t!!!!! Sorry!!

^ I hear ya :)
well I think they made the page look good since the product is probably not... strange how it just picks up in the middle of a generation of ludes... in 1990... right in the middle of the 3rd gens..
I doubt this thing would do anything for you, I wasn't crackin' on you (just want to make sure you didn't think so...)
What year lude do you have?

yea the years are just weird. I have a 98 Base, it would be nice if something like that could boost the performance of your car so much lol.

I know the spoon chips and such on ebay do change your maps, but they can be dangerous to your motor, partly due to the stupid rev limiters they put on them... the mostly stock h22 quits putting power down by around 7600 rpms, but some of those ebay chips set it at like 9K... a custom dyno tune is expensive, but the only safe option for your precious engine :) ... experts don't even recommend using the maps from someone with the same setup on your ECU... of course they get paid to do it!! :)

I probably ever put a chip on my car because of reasons like that. I don't want to hurt my baby with something stupid like that! :)..... have you ever tried anything on your engine?

I had a stock h23a1 before... only mods were flowmaster 40 with 2.25" exhaust, and a drop in K&N filter... here is what I did this winter/spring to the h22a I swapped in...
