Ok, so I have a small problem and have asked a couple people what to do and have gotten mixed answers.
The Problem:
I have specks of concrete on my car, it looks like I went mudding, it looks like mud spots, they are pretty small, but there are just SO many of them!!!
The Responses
One guy said, in a nut shell, "Your fvcked, you have to wait to re paint it"
I am able to scratch them off with my fingernail, and knowing this someone said I just need to set aside about 4 hours and get rid of them all by going over the whole front of the car with my nail and scratching them off, lol...sadly, this is probably going to happen...today...
Anyways, does anyone have any other suggestions? Otherwise I'm gonna have to wait until next year when I get the car painted...
Thanks in advance for the help!
*UPDATE* Here are some pics to help:
This is the closest pic I could get of the specks, they are all about that size, and they are numerous

Some of this is bugs, but about half is the concrete specks

Rubbing compound maybe? Then you would have to rewax though. Fingernail might be the best method if it works good. Lesson: dont tailgate concrete trucks. j/k

Already tried, I even tried claybarring the car, and the claybar didn't even get it off... I'm in the process of the fingernail method, I'm gonna take the car to a car wash, wash the front of the car to get whatever i can off, and then fingernail it...it's gonna be about a 2-3 hour process, lol.
I'm able to do the windshield extremely well, I'm able to use Invisible Glass and a piece of steel wool, but I got a feeling that wouldn't go over so well on the paint of the car...
Funny thing is, I was never behind a concrete truck, I have no idea how these got there...they were just...THERE!

I use a razor blade on the windshield. I've successfully used it on the paint also but wouldn't recommend it cuz it is dangerous on paint. I guess there is just a bunch of crap laying around on the roads that get kicked up and stuff. Make sure to do a write up on the fingernail method of detailing haha. Good luck.

Well, the Steel Wool piece and Invisible Glass is by far the best thing I have ever done, my windows have NEVER been cleaner...
The pictures suck, but I mainly took them for Ogs  you will see all the sexy tan leather you could ever want buddy!

I did ALL the windows of the car, inside and out, the pictures don't really show it, but I mainly took them so Ogs can oggle, and so I don't get banned for not putting up more pics of the tan leather

Take it to a car wash and use the pressure washer just start off a lil far from the bumper the get closer. I don't think the was would take some paint off if ur nail takes it off fine but could save you a ass load of time. It worked for me and the hood of my jeep and it was on there for about a week .

What about hot water and a rough sponge/steel wool? Obviously just be careful around the paint.

Next year when I'm done with school I'm doin the full Mugen kit. That kit is just so dead sexy... I can't pass it up.

I have tried a sponge, didnt work, and I REALLY don't wanna try a thing of steel wool, I can see that ending horribly on the paint...

Actually there are different grades of steel wool and some are safe to use on paint and glass. I will ask my b/f what he uses on his car, he works around a lot of job cites with wet cement, paint, and lord knows what else. Anyways he uses something and steel wool to keep the Turd (fx16) clean or at least get the little spots.

That would be awesome! Thanks littlefoot.
I haven't washed the car yet because it rained, and I have been trying to hold off to find a way to do it easier then the fingernail method...lmao

The yellow wool still scratches it but not as bad. Thats the finest wool in the paint industry.
Perhaps try buff and wax like I told you to? Because that will work.

wet sand with 2000 grit sand paper and buff her out. When you head like a screaching noise in the sand paper wash rinse off the sand paper.(a speck of dirt is scratching your clear coat) BE CAREFULL NOT TO OVER WET SAND!!!!!! Good luck

Yea...I don't feel like wet sanding it...I can easily see something going VERY wrong, and knowing that it's concrete im trying to get off...I'm just not gonna risk it, lol.
It's ok, in one year I've got an "appointment" to get her a full Mugen kit (minus the wing) and a paint job, so I think I can last until then, besides, I got most of it off with the fingernail method!! lol...

I'll get pics up probably sometime this weekend, if not the weekend, Monday for sure!!

haha, ya think?!
It's nice having your neighbors up the street that both work for 3M(guy), one as a contractor and the other as a Marketing Exec.(girl), they are married to each other, and holy SH!T are they loaded....
But as it stands I'm going to tolerate it for one more year, because then when I get the Mugen Kit, I won't have to worry about it anyways, and unless something comes up where I HAVE to have it gone, I'll just be driving it in the winter anyways :yuck:
