I searched and didn't find much... But I'm thinking about getting a body kit, and they got some good lookin ones on Ebay... does anyone have any experience with them... are they good quality, or would I be better off spending a little extra and getting one from somewhere else... if thats the case, what would be a good website, is www.andysautosport.com a reliable source?

before i owned my lude i had a 92 civic si hb. it was fukkn hot. i purchased a wings west lip kit for it from ebay. i had no problem with it.
before the si i had another hatch and i had a R34 Skyline front bumper on it.
both kits were excellent. i look for sellers that show in a pic or video how durable the kit is. your best bet is to find a urethane or a polyfiber something or other. ABS plastic is good, durable, and strong but cracks much easier than the others. good luck!

Thanks, I was just kinda worried about poor fittment.... one more question.. the only other car that I've "had" with a body kit on it was a eclipse, it was actually my dads, but anyways... the bumpers, and side skirts were molded into the body... is this what your supposed to do?.. and also, do you do it with like bondo or something else?... thanks for all the help

this will give you the nicest cleanest lines. you should not do it yourself if you are not experienced. a professional will/can blend the body kit into the stock body panels. if you are lookin to go with a lip kit it'll look good either way. just make sure you test fit the kit as soon as you get it from the co. post a link of the kit or kits you are thinking of.

Thats what it looks like... but its got a little bigger tires on it now, my front and rear bumpers are beat up, and gouged and scratched (u get the picture)... and as much as I am not a ricer... I just like the body kit look...

the number 1 thing is NO RICE, lol.
a close second is expressing yourself!
it's your lude. do what makes you happy. like i said i've seen a lot worse...you could have some spreewell spinners on it! haha.

no spinners lol.. my plans are body kit and paint... black halo headlights (also ebay)... and motegi ff5s or ff7s (plus a h22a, but this is the exterior section lol)

Stay away from ebay and andysautosport.
As for headlights, PM JLude. He can do a retrofit. Not cheap, but extreme high quality ad he can do about any design you can come up with.

/\ how much is "not cheap"... cuz the being cheap is why i was lookin on ebay lol other than the motegies and the h22, pretty much everything is gonna be cheap
Si Speed
07-17-2008, 01:11 AM
Depends. It can be anywhere from 400 to 1000.
Don't go cheap though. You're better off buying used in good condition that new and cheap. Cheap is more expensive in the long run after you pay for the repairs of the broken stuff you got cheap.

I got mine off e-bay and the back bumper wouldn't fit where it comes around the light. But to be honest i've put body kits on other cars and they rarely fit easily anyway.

unless you are paying for a big name like Greddy, JP Aerodynamics, Wings West, etc. most kits will more than likely need some type of altering. that's why it is suggested that all kits are installed by professionals.

Most any urethane body kit will fit up like factory. Big names like Bravo said are the best. I had a both cheap fiberglass bumpers and big name ones like a Xenon on my old Neon. The Xenon needed absolutely NO MODIFICATION while the fiberglass ones needed quite a bit of TLC to get proper fitment. All bumpers were purchased off of ebay to save money, just find a power seller with a good store. It will give you piece of mind in your purchase and quality parts.

DO NOT USE ANDYSAUTOSPORT!!!
Waste of time and money, their customer service is the worst on this planet and if something goes wrong with them with your kit, they will either blow you off, or pretend like they care but do nothing about it until you threaten with a lawsuit!
this has all happened to me, that is why I know....

I bought my body kit of eBay. I bought an NRG kit and that company truly sucks. They send the wrong one and it took about 2 months total to get the right one. Only good thing was they were so dysfunctional I couldn't get them to give me a way to get the wrong kit back to them so I sold it for $200. It took a lot of trimming and fiberglassing to get a decent fit. There are still little things here and there that bother me about it. If you really want a body kit, spend the extra and get a good one.

dont get that. look at that guys feedback, 94% is no good. + having beat up bumpers is better than that body kit; since that one will probly shatter into a million pieces the first thing it hits. to me body kits look tacky and ricey and I see no point in them, no offense to anyone who has them. I'd say spend the money on getting your bumpers fixed or get new stock ones, or at least a body kit that is subtle and close to stock and made of high quality material that you can look at before you buy

Put it like this, I knew a guy who bought an eBay body kit for his early 90's Sentra (Yeah, moving on now). He had to cut the front bumper in half and shave 6 INCHES to make it fit, and fiberglass back together. Both side skirts had to be trimmed up at the front a couple inches and the back bumper was just warped and had to send it back all together. He pay $300 for it brand new, so you get what you pay for. If you get a body kit, I say get the wings west bigmouth like twotonelude has. It still flows with the natural 4th gen lines and isn't too flashy, but is still different from stock or a lip kit.

I don't experience with body kits but i'd strongly suggest staying away from ebay projectors... I had a set on my accord. Yea they look cool during the day, but the light output is terrible. I felt blind unless I had my brights on. I've also heard that if you try to run HIDs in them, they can melt. Retro is the way to go if you want projectors in a lude.

Yeah i agree with E.. when i had my lude in the shop, the owner was telling me he ordered a kit off ebay for his g35, the front bumper was to big, and the side skirts weren't even for his car he said. I mean now it looks nice now :
http://www.absolutelyok.com/*widgets/gallery/detail.jspy?G=TG9167&P=TG56654224&F=/gallery.nxg
And not to mention he got everything for free since he worked at the shop..but i feel its not worth it to get everything mixed up. I rather pay the extra 100-200 from vis or wings..and know it will fit and if it dont..there a reputable company to argue over the phone with!

you can get some DEPO projectors. less than a retro fit but still quality

I agree with the idea of a lip kit without bodykit... unless your bumpers look worse than it seems I would go for paint instead....
spend the money you save for the bodykit to get that d*mn thing lowered a little bit,.. haha.
Neuspeed sports... H&R sports... some sport spring on some KYB AGXES (or something more expensive if you like)... that would look spankin' with a lip kit
