Now. Calm down... I know what your thinking. Its crazy. I know...
However... The idea slightly wets my mouth when I think about it.
It woulden't be cheap... But when is anything cheap.
I saw a site. Comes with 6Spd Tranny with LSD, everything included plus the K20A for 5,800.
Idea's? I'm not saying I'm gonna do it. Just looking for more of a discussion thread about the idea.

A k20 in a 2g lude will rip hard!
I love how light the 2g Lude is. I was shocked how light mine is, not an Si but still. Motor mounts & axles are the big factors.

Mounts, driveshafts, etc will be the big deciding factors in whether or not it works. It will be a huge amonut of work, even more if you don't start with a PGMFI car, but would be awesome when finished!

Its true. Not to mention you would probably want to look into having your brakes redone, as well as suspension and possible having some higher rated tires too.
It would move though. Like someone kicked it in the pants. :D

Brain,
Couldnt he buy a set of mounts and weld them where he pleases? ive seen people do that to hatches putting in a bigger engine like d to H swap.
as for driveshafts, ive also heard of those bubble drivers getting custom made shafts? is that even real and or possible?
well youd need the following at minimum, im no swap guru but ive read the stories
Engine of choice (in this case k20)
Matching trany
ECU
possible harness to splice
shift linkage and shifter
clutch pedal (if not manual and going for 5spd)
drive shafts
mounts
and a non coolant and oil leaking h22...
oh wait thats my crappy prelude, sorry forgot
oh by the way, if you end up saying "hmm nah, k20 swap not for me, ever though of that f20b?
dohc vtec i beleive with 200ish hp?

I was just saying if your gonna do that much work go all the way. If you gotta throw a ferrari motor in it. lol No but i have seen a few 240's around and on you tue with ls1's in them. so im sure we could drop on in a prelude. But idk about you guys i enjoy the great gas milage and the proformance of a 4 clynder H22a vtec or H23a

I just think the K20 would be the most bang for your buck? You know? I mean... Its like 4 grand for an H22... But I dont think the H22 has as much torque as the K20? I'm not sure though.

4 grand for a Type S H22, but a normal JDM H22 is actually kinda cheap. You'd have better luck putting a B18 in. Also, engine and tranny location is another thing to consider. You may have to alter the shift linkage or possibly the firewall to get the shifter to line up properly.
