I have heard people talk about this oil and I'm sure most of you use it but for the newbies next time you go get an oil change GET MOBIL SYNTHETIC (I used the recommended viscosity by Honda 5W-30 I think) and it works wonders. I rarely have to top my oil off even when I vtec hard its been a month now and still haven't had to top my oil off!
Yummy a tall glass of oil!

Until you supply charts, facts and everything else required to back up such a broad statement you will be mercilessly pointed and laughed at.

I used to use Royal purple but then found out the graphite they put in their oil causes accelerated wear.

I havent heard a single negative thing about Amsoil as well. i dont think people in general are used to oil lasting over 3000 miles, and so Amsoil mystifies them, as well as the other longer lasting oils, or cars that can go longer between changes....But then the other long interval oils are all in a category below Amsoil in terms of protection & tech in them. I dont even bother trying out Mobil's drive me longer oils.
Now, I just took a long road, about 3000 miles, and had already had 2500 miles on the oil, but I wanted to see how the oil level and color ( as much as that tells you ). So I went about 5500 miles on 1 change and the level went down over the course to just about .6 qt. low, and the oild was still translucent but darker. So for highway driving I might start stretching out the interval and saving my wallet too.

The only bad thing i can think of with Amsoil is lack of advertisement. How much is Amsoil per qt. ?

i pay like $80 for a case of 12 + a couple oil filters and its good for 2 oil changes.

Is amsoil the german oil? I run Royal Purple on the lude and mobil1 on my moms car both with mobil1 filters. I like the royal purple a little better performance wise but mobil1 is still kickin it strong!

Amsoil is 100% american made! Works best when used with their filters.

Royal purple does not cause any wear.Wherever you got that was stupid.I think everyone in stl area that I know using RP and always have.Put it in any whole you can find=D But yes Id most definately recommend Royal Purple thats my choice.Costly but worth it,nothing wrong with it,alot better then mobile1 to me.
people dont get royal purple because Im pretty sure it cost alot more then most oil thers your reason to many cheap people
