I've got a mate with a 2g lude, fitted with the A18 dual carb auto, and he was wondering how hard it would be to swap in the A20A1 manual PGMFI from a 1989 Accord.

Hi guys last week i was at a wrecking yard with a few mates(as you do) and we thought we'd check out the honda section, long story short i found a 1989 honda accord and it seems to have an A20A1 SOHC PGMFI.

now the motors done 160,000 as opposed to my 224,000 engine.

That's where the idea came from. So is it a straight swap? What was the PGMFI engine that came with the 2g?

I'd imagine it'd be a straight swap. I've seen those accord engines, they're basically identical.

going from Carb'd to FI is a pain in itself...

oh chit, i didn't realize he was carb'd. Tell him to get the engine ditch the PGMFI and go for some Webers! They can't be as strict as the US are they?

My Si runs the A20A3.

Wouldent switching it over be a pain cause you would have to wire in the ECU... Cause the carb'd doesn't have an ECU does it?
