Hey guys, I'm new here to the forum. I just got my 1984 2nd gen this Friday with 229,xxx on the clock and 55,xxx on a rebuilt tranny and motor. I love the car! Although cosmetically the car is not the best, the mechanical condition of the car is so solid.

Of course theres a couple quirky things that I need to work out with the car:

-Dead Rear shocks
- 30-40% tread left on the tires
-Stock radio which cuts one speaker out intermittently
-Heater core which I need to re attach
-No backlighting on the gauges, and buttons(lights on the climate control work fine though) when the lights are turned on(The most annoying to be honest)

Sorry, this is probably a no brainer question for everyone on this forum.
I checked the fuses and everything looks fine. Does anyone know how I can exactly go about checking how to reconnect the backlighting for the gauges and buttons on the driver console? I'd appriciate some suggestions! Thanks!

I would start by checking the bulbs. If your fuses check fine then check the bulbs themselves to see if they have bruned out. Then if all is well your going to have to go and check your connections via a test light be the preferable method. Wiring is a pian in the rear man. Good luck though, its always nice to see 200+k preludes. New motor or not its still going.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'm also looking into maybe the dimmer control being out too because on top of the gauge cluster being out, the lights on the buttons around it are not lighting up as well.

Thanks for complementing the 3g blades! I'm looking into getting some coilover for the car soon since the rear shocks are dead. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the complements on the car guys!

I definitely want to get some period, JDM stuff on the car later on. Hopefully I can dig out some old mugen out from someone!

I'm prioritizing what I have to do for the car before I start doing any real mods.
-Fix the lights for the gauge cluster
-Timing belt
-New Tires
-Alignment(which I can luckily get from my bored friend at the car port @ Ford) ha
- Integra coil/KYB coilover mod(since rear shocks are dead)
