I clay my car every summer and then hand wax right behind it. After I did it, it was about as clean as it ever looked. You have to be careful with a buffer. Orbital buffers will burn the paint easily if you are not experienced using it. You would want to get a low revolution buffer.

If you dont have any experience with a buffer I highly recommend hand waxing then. But if you do have experience buff away and use the 3 steps of 3M that stuff is great!

to make my car look good i use the following:
Black Magic Tire Wet...for wet tire look
Black Magic Proshine Protectant....for interior
Turtle Wax Formula 51....for tires and rims
Megular's PlastX polish cleaner.....for my heads, tail, and turn lights
Shop Vac....for carpet, mats...etc
Wash & Wax (manually) at local car wash

these are the major steps i follow when cleaning my car

Trust me after you hand wax your car you will be doing it monthly (maybe weekly if you have no school) not only does you car look super sexy (sexier it is a prelude ;) but nothing feels better than a job well done

Turtle wax is what I use it looks great also I have heard good things about black magic i think it's called?

first go to a coin car wash use a buck or to use the bug and tar stuff there or bring ur own high pressure soap and rinse. It will get in small lil spots and take about 90% of the dirt off after that do this.

1. Turtle wax liquid clay bar not as good as a real clay bar but almost will get all the fine dirt and crap in ur clean coat off.,

2. Wash it with some kinda of car soap and a wool mit. I use turtle wax zip as some stuff in it to give it a nice shine,

3.Spray on some tire and rim cleaner if they are real dirty use a brush

3. Hand wax with w/e u want the real difference in the stuff is how long it last.

I use Nu finish it last a few weeks but takes only 10 mints to do.

if you do it just like that this is about what it will look like.

Polish first, then wax over the top. I use nu finish (orange bottle) polish and do two coats. Then wax once every month with meguires #26. Its expensive but works magic. I always do it by hand, Im too afraid of removing paint with a buffer. heres some pics from the other day

i use the Maguires car wash and nano tech wax 2.0. i have tried every brand of soap that we sell at work and those are the two best combos.

and good old elbow grease works the best for waxing IMO
