Hey guys,

It has been YEARS since I've had to adjust the fuel/air mixture on my prelude. I cannot remember how. Can anyone tell me which screw it is?

My engine isnt combusting all the gas. My air filter stinks like gas. A tiny bit of gas will make it out my tail pipe, and my engine sometimes drowns when I am at idle and give it gas.

87 prelude 1.8 no air. (Base model)

I've had this car for over 15 years, and it would be a shame to get rid of it just because I cant remember how to change this! Although it doesnt make sense that this would be the problem, it is a start. Changed the spark plugs, and ignition wires, but thats it so far.

Sorry for the rambling

What do you mean about the distributor? It has not been moved...

i believe moving it makes it lean or rich? I forget. at least that's what i've been told.

Bleh, know what? I dunno where it'd be myself. I have one laying around and I know of the idle screw and i'm guessing is the screw to adjust the butterflies on both carbs, like to make sure they're the same.

there's also the fast idle speed screw too. chit i'll get back to you on it, i feel like a fool now.
