Ok so as you might now i have a bouncy idle. so today i put my finger over the top hole in the throttle body and it quit bouncing and the idle slowed.

2 of the 3 ports at the top of the IM should be covered. 1 is for your Cruise control, 1 is for your stock intake, and the other is plugged up from the factory. What you can do is just run a little hose from 1 port to the next. I believe on mine, the 2 left ones are plugged up

is it on the bottom right??? i think that one is the FITV... fast idle thermo valve. it could be bad. check out my previous thread...

http://preludezone.com/showthread.ph...ht=bouncy+idle

even tho none of these ended up being the answer i still tried them all to narrow it down... mine ended up being a gasket

Yes vacuum leak, I had the same trouble so I stopped by AutoZone and bought a few caps. I traced one hose that lead down to what looked like it might have went to the stock airbox (filter) since the previous owner installed a CAI I guess they just unhooked it and left it. It seems to have helped on the bouchy idle, but mine still idles a bit too low like around 450 to 500 RPMs I think 800 is more like it I think but not too sure.

I bought some new hoses and a PCV valve I will be replacing some hoses and replace that valve and see if that helps it.

I'm beginning to wonder I'm barking up the wrong tree. Read the link, now I consider myself an expert on acronyms being that I served in the Army for almost nine years. But whats a FITV, and a IACV. I know the TPS, I also know as soon as you tell me I'll be hitting my forehead like I could have had a V8.

Thanks, so idle problem that I'm having am I going in the right direction with the PCV and the hoses or do I need to start looking elsewhere?

It idles pretty good on start up but once it warms up it idles @ around 450 to 500 rpm that seems a bit too low.

That link actually was not the same one you posted in this thread.

My idle is constant not bouncing, it just idles low. I'll try what was mentioned in the last link, I've already traced the vacuum lines and they are good. Thanks for your help
