So I finally got my car back from the shop

I got the transmission rebuilt on my 97 SS

quick briefing:

The day the tranny started making the rattle noise and the "whining sound" (sounds similar to when Honda's reverse) was when it is about to change gears. And then the Car just started jerking so bad it wasn't driveable..

after all that... more than 1 month of waiting...

I finally got the car back, and it shifts smooth in every gear. But the only thing I didn't understand was that "whining sound" is still there when its changing gears. It is loud especially in 1st and 2nd gear. I asked the mechanic who worked on it, and he said it is because the Tranny is getting old and that whining sound might go away eventually or might not. He also informed me that it was a Junkyard Tranny already in there, which I didn't know about.

So my main question was, has anybody else had this problem for their prelude? or anything similar. the guy said I shouldn't worry about it, but only thing im worried about is the tranny getting F'd up again because thats the same sound I heard.

anybody else dealin with this here. or some expert opinion

Ah, transmission shops are only there for one purpose to take your money and to make sure your newly rebuilt tranny last just long enough until the warranty runs out. Repeat customers

Okay so two purposes
